How Old Are Jon and Kate Gosselin’s 8 Children From ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8’ Now?
When Jon and Kate Gosselin first stepped on to the reality TV scene over a decade ago, fans loved watching the couple navigate life with their eight kids. Jon & Kate Plus 8 brought freshness to TLC, and the eight Gosselin kids were all extremely young at the time. Now, plenty of time has passed, though — and we can’t believe everything that the Gosselins have gone through in the public eye over the years.

Mady and Cara, the twins, are 18
It’s hard to imagine that the older siblings, Mady and Cara, were just around 6 years old when Jon & Kate Plus 8 first aired. Nowadays, the twins are 18 years old and seemingly thriving now that they’re out of the public eye. Their birthday is on Oct. 8, and Kate posted a sweet photo of them on the day they officially became adults. And in another post, Kate explained how proud she was of her twin daughters. “There are no words to describe how proud I am of you both. Despite the many turbulent times you’ve had to deal with so far in life, you have emerged as wise, level headed, reasonable, forgiving, loving, kind and absolutely brilliant ADULTS!” Kate wrote.
Jon also posted a happy birthday note to Mady and Cara on his Instagram — but there was no photo to be found. That’s most likely because the twins have stated before that they want nothing to do with their father. Back in August 2016, Mady and Cara both spoke candidly about their lack of contact with Jon, People reports. As Mady said, “He should maybe spend some time thinking about why we don’t want to see him, and maybe realize that if he ever does want a relationship with us, talking about us on TV is not the way to make that happen.”
The sextuplets are 14 years old
The sextuplets — Leah, Collin, Joel, Alexis, Hannah, and Aaden — were just toddlers when the show first started. Today, they’re 14 years old, and their birthday is on May 10. Kate wrote another heartfelt Instagram post for all six of her kids’ birthdays, too, just like she did for Cara and Mady. “14 years ago almost to the minute, I was in my wheelchair, making my way around the ENTIRE NICU, meeting each of you face to face for the very first time,” she wrote. “Here’s to many more birthdays together!! I love you forever and always, no matter what!”
We haven’t seen photos of all the sextuplets together, though, which may have struck some fans as odd. While Kate posted this adorable photo of her kids on their first day of school back in August 2018, it’s clear Collin and Hannah were missing. And that’s because it currently appears that they’re not on good terms with their mother.
Which children live with Kate, and who lives with Jon?
Not only have we heard of Jon and Kate’s marital strife through the years, but we also know there have been deep family divisions as a result of the split. People reports Hannah has chosen to permanently live with Jon for months now, and we see the father-daughter duo together on his Instagram all the time. More recently, Jon also got custody of Collin after Kate failed to show up to court. But late in 2018, Jon admitted that he still doesn’t talk to Mady and Cara, and the other four sextuplets aren’t speaking to him, either, Today reports. And he said the last time he got together with all of the kids, “It was just volatile and a lot going on.”
As for Kate, we haven’t heard many updates on the children from her lately, but it seems six of them are still living with her. Jon has also mentioned that they don’t communicate at all, and more recently on Instagram, he mentioned that she has had “zero” contact with Collin.
