Season 18 of the long-running ABC television reality series, The Bacheloretteis currently underway.

What started as 30 men vying for the affection of Michelle Young is now down to the final eight contestants.

The elementary school teacher from Woodbury, Minnesota, has a strong cast of men to choose from, most of whom are close to her in age, ranging from their mid-20s to mid-30s.

How Young’s age compares to other contestants

Born on June 3, 1993, the current Bachelorette is 28 years old.

Most of the male contestants in this season are similar in age to the raven-haired beauty.

Joe Coleman, also born in June 1993, was named the 2011 winner of Minnesota Mr. Basketball.

He is the current frontrunner of the season, earning the first one-on-one date with Young.

Nayte Olukoya, the 27-year-old Canadian sales executive, got the second one-on-one date with the charismatic teacher.

As the winner of the first impression rose, many fans think the couple will still be together after the show ends.

According to US Weekly, Clayton Echard, who is 28 years old, has been selected to be the next star of Season 26 of The Bachelor.

The youngest contestant on Season 18 of The Bachelorette is Spencer, who is 25 years old.

The oldest contestant is Lowell “LT” Murray, who is a yoga guru and Clint Eastwood’s grandson. He is 38 years old.

Both men have already been eliminated from the competition.

Michelle Young appeared on a previous season of ‘The Bachelor’

Young previously appeared in Matt James’ season of The BachelorShe made it to the final rose ceremony, becoming the runner-up in Season 25.

The former basketball player was heartbroken when James chose Rachel over her.

In the After the Final Rose special, Young expressed how she was not OK with how things ended and felt that she never got closure.

US Weekly reported that after the emotional confrontation, ABC announced that Young would have a chance to hand out the roses, making her the star of Season 18 of The Bachelorette.

According to Women’s Health,

“Michelle knows exactly what she wants in her future husband … She’s looking for a guy who’s confident but not cocky and will look at her as his equal in all things.”

Young reportedly “wants a man by her side that is supportive and driven to make the world a better place.”

‘The Bachelorette’ Spoilers: New Preview Teases Hometowns, Fantasy Suites, and an Unexpected Finale for Michelle Young

The current season of The Bachelorette began filming in July 2021 in Indian Wells, California, at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa.

Production began under strict coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions, but at the midway point, the quarantine was lifted.

Filming continued in Young’s hometown in Minnesota and wrapped in Mexico for the dramatic finale.

The season premiere aired on October 19, 2021, with week 5 airing last Tuesday night.

There has not yet been confirmation as to how many episodes will run. Cosmopolitan stated,

“In the past, the show typically has 10 episodes, including Hometowns, overnights, ‘Men Tell All,’ and the finale feature and ‘After the Final Rose’ special.”

The magazine revealed that they obtained pictures of Young jet skiing in Mexico with who they believe to be Brandon, with Joe nowhere in sight.

Although they cannot yet confirm, they believe Nayte will be the big winner, but there is still a lot of The Bachelorette drama to play out.

The remaining eight contestants for this season include Brandon (29), Clayton (28), Joe (28), Martin (29), Nayte (27), Olu (27), Rick (32), and Rodney (29).
