According to IMDb and Glamour, Perez studied musical theater. He then made his way into TV and film as he has appeared on iCarly, Young & Hungry, Scandal, and Awkward.
In The Kissing Booth 2, he plays Marco, the new kid at school. He ultimately becomes friends with Elle and sort of creates a challenge for her. This is especially the case with her boyfriend, Noah, being off at college.
“When they finally have this little meet-cute and they start this relationship, this friendship, I think she starts questioning herself,” Perez said to The Hollywood Reporter. “Does she love Noah? Does she like Marco? What’s her future going to be?”
Perez has admitted that he even sees some similarities between himself and Marco.
“There’s certain Taylor-isms in Marco,” Perez said to Glamour. “Like Marco, I’m not afraid to share my feelings with those around me. But I follow through a lot more than he does. He’s the kind of guy that tries really hard but doesn’t want to show that he’s trying really hard because if he fails, then he doesn’t really fail.”

The Kissing Booth 2 is not the final chapter for these characters. During a Fan Fest live stream with several of the stars from the movie, the cast announced that there will be a third Kissing Booth film.
“I want to thank the fans for their tremendous support and love that they’ve shown for our amazing franchise, from the first movie to the second one coming out just on Friday,” King said on July 26.
The Kissing Booth 3 is expected to come to Netflix in 2021.
