What the Grammy Awards will be like for BTS

The Grammy Awards will air at 8 p.m. ET on March 14. In South Korea, the awards show will be broadcast at 9 a.m. KST on March 15. Because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the members of BTS are watching the ceremony in South Korea instead of traveling to the U.S.

“The awards ceremony is going to be very early hours in Korea, so there is really not much that we can do early in the morning,” Suga told the Associated Press.

He continued, “But we’ll probably have a glass of wine or maybe and do something in the morning, whatever we can do.”

V added, “Hug each other once.”

RM then shared that the members of BTS plan to celebrate the Grammy Awards with ARMY.

“If we win, it’ll be a success which we made together,” RM said. “Like it’s between we and ARMY so all we could do is turn the livestreaming on and have a ceremony with ARMY all over the world, sip a cup of champagne, glass of wine. That’s all we could do.”

The members of BTS are thankful for ARMY

BTS’ Grammy nomination is a historic achievement, and the members still feel disbelief at the fact they received a nomination for “Dynamite” and get to perform.

“So I don’t know how to say this, it’s really hard to express in words, so, I mean, when we first heard, even now we still can’t believe we were nominated,” Jimin said. “And we’ll be able to perform at the Grammys. So, we’re thankful. We’re honored.”

Of course, BTS are the most grateful for their fans, ARMY.

“And we need to thank the ARMY for giving us this honor and this opportunity,” Jimin added.

Jungkook told the Associated Press, “We were really excited when we heard the news, obviously, but as you said, the ARMY was more excited than anyone when they heard about the Grammy nomination. So I think we were made even more certain that there is a special connection between us and ARMY.”
