Impractical Jokers is a TV show you can always count on for laughs. It’s a hidden camera reality show following four lifelong friends — Joe Gatto, Sal Vulcano, Brian “Q” Quinn, and James “Murr” Murray — as they dare each other to do wildly embarrassing pranks and stunts in public. At the end of the episode, the person with the most losses has to take a punishment created by the other guys, which is usually ten times more awkward than any of the other challenges.

Impractical Jokers has gained a loyal following since its 2011 premiere, becoming the “longest-running and highest-rated” original show on TruTV, via Deadline. It also spawned several spinoffs and even a film in 2020.

Those who watch it are certainly looking forward to more, but when exactly will the show return? Find out everything we know about Impractical Jokers Season 10 and more below.

‘Impractical Jokers’ Season 10 just got an update from Murr

Impractical Jokers was renewed for another season in February — right before the ninth season premiered. There hasn’t been much information since then, but Murr recently gave an update.

He appeared on The Domenick Nati Show in December, where he confirmed the next season is in the works. He also said he believed there would be “many more seasons” after that.

Although he didn’t share details, he noted there would be changes to the show’s format because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

“With COVID, we had to change the show dramatically,” he shared. “We weren’t able to challenges in public parks. We couldn’t go to the supermarket anymore. So we had to change the show for the last year to be in a more locked-down environment like a focus group or things [like that] where we could control the people coming in.”

“I hope we can go back to those days once everything is returned to normal,” he continued, “but in the meantime, it actually kind of worked and made the show more producible in a way because we don’t have to deal with the general public from a distance shouting as we’re interacting with a stranger who doesn’t know the show.”

The release date for ‘Impractical Jokers’ Season 10

While Murr did not share a release date for the new season, an early 2022 return seems likely. For most of its run, Impractical Jokers has typically released a new season at the beginning of a year. That trend continued with the most recent season, which ran from February to August 2021. So hopefully, the same will go for season 10.

In the meantime, previous episodes of Impractical Jokers can be found now on TruTV. The show can also be viewed on Hulu and HBO Max as long as you have a subscription. If not, Hulu packages go for as low as $6.99 a month, while an HBO Max subscription costs $14.99 monthly.

There’s also more content from the pranksters on the way

In February, Deadline reported the jokers had also signed a deal with WarnerMedia, under which they’ll “develop and produce original unscripted and scripted programming for TNT, TBS, and truTV as well as HBO Max.”

It’s unclear what those shows will be about, but Corie Henson, the Head of Unscripted Development at TBS, TNT, and truTV said the four friends are “prolific and have a ton of ideas about how to turn more hits into an even bigger brand.”

“We have three networks, so we’re going to get out of their way, and give them the support and the biggest platform to do just that,” Henson continued.

Awesome! We can’t wait to see what the jokers serve up next.
