Is ‘BMF’ and ‘Euphoria’ Star Demetrius ‘Lil Meech’ Flenory Jr. Single?
Big new TV shows tend to launch new actors to stardom. Talents that were unknown can become household names with a new popular show or movie, and Demetrius ‘Lil Meech’ Flenory Jr. is no exception. This young actor started out as a business student with a rap hobby, but with the beginning of the show BMF on Starz, Flenory debuted as a big figure in the entertainment world.
As always, the focus on celebrity means that he now has a lot of people wondering about his personal life. Where is he from? How did he grow up, and how did he get into acting? And of course, the perennial question about a new celebrity: is he single?
Lil Meech appears to be single
We don’t know for sure if Lil Meech has a partner at the moment, but as of 2022, it appears that Lil Meech is single. On his social media, he hasn’t posted about any partners, and he hasn’t mentioned dating anybody in any interviews. If he does have a partner, the couple is keeping it very low-key, though it seems more likely that Lil Meech is simply single.
It’s worth noting that many news sources say that Lil Meech is dating a woman named Sabrina Peterson. However, this is an error. Peterson is actually the girlfriend of Flenory’s father, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory.
Lil Meech just started acting, but in a major role
You might be surprised to hear that Lil Meech got his first acting role on BMF in 2021. Lil Meech may not have intended to become an actor: instead, his father asked him to audition for the role of Big Meech when 50 Cent got in contact with Big Meech regarding a show about his life. This role on the show led Lil Meech to start acting, and he did pretty well despite his lack of experience. Lil Meech received significant critical praise, and the show has been renewed for a second season.
Lil Meech has also appeared in the HBO drama Euphoria. This role is as Travis, who started appearing on the show in Season 2. We don’t know yet what will happen with Travis; he only appeared in the first episode. However, the show seems to be setting him up as a potential love interest for one of the characters, and he could appear on another episode in the season.
Lil Meech has a personal connection to ‘BMF’
As mentioned above, Lil Meech is playing his father on BMF. The show BMF is about the rise of the Black Mafia Family in Detroit in the 1980s, a drug operation that expanded into a major criminal organization. The Black Mafia Family grew enough to begin working with international cartels.
The organization also set up a hip-hop promotion agency and record label, working with major names in the industry including T.I. and Jay-Z. However, in the mid-2000s, the organization was shut down, and Big Meech was arrested. Big Meech remains in prison today.
Despite the hardship of having a father in prison, Lil Meech maintains a close relationship with his father. It was a call from his father in prison that led Lil Meech to acting: 50 Cent had acquired the rights to the Black Mafia Family story and wanted to make a TV show, and Big Meech wanted his son to be present to see how the show was going. At casting calls, the producers asked Lil Meech, then a business student, to enroll in acting classes to play his father. Lil Meech did, and the rest is history.
