Jeffree Star Has Received Countless DMs from Rappers Following Kanye West Rumors
2021 is certainly off to a strange start in the entertainment world. Perhaps the weirdest celebrity rumor involved Jeffree Star and Kanye West. On January 6, 2021, rumors began flying that West and his wife, Kim Kardashian West, would be divorcing soon because West was involved in a romantic and sexual relationship with beauty influencer, Jeffree Star.
But how did these rumors even come about? Fans of Star and Kanye have traced the rumors back to a TikTok video which claimed that Kanye had been seeing a famous, male, beauty influencer for quite some time and that it was common knowledge in the industry. After a short time, people began speculating that Star was the influencer in question because he also lives in Wyoming.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that Star has found himself in new headlines in conjunction with a member of the Kardashian family. Back in April of 2020, Kourtney Kardashian’s oldest son, Mason Disick made headlines when he called Star spoiled. Rather than brush off the comments of the then 10-year-old, Star shared that Disick was confused about his own privilege and expressed hopes that his father would explain it to him.

Of course, the Kanye rumors got Star far more publicity than the micro feud with Disick. At first, the influencer chose to poke fun at the rumors. He tweeted a glam photo of himself with the caption, “I’m ready for Sunday Service,” which is a nod to the gospel choral group that Kanye leads. Eventually though, the beauty guru chose to discredit the rumors altogether.
The YouTuber denies that he is sleeping with Kanye West
Smartly utilizing the platform of YouTube, Star denied all rumors that he was sleeping with Kanye while also profiting off of the public’s curiosity. In a video called “Addressing The Kanye Situation,” Star walked viewers through how he came to learn about the rumors.
“I woke up and my phone was blowing up, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, what in the scandal is going on today?’” Star stared in his video. “I honestly had no idea, right. I’m keeping to myself, I’m living in this beautiful state, I’m loving life.” He then continued on to say that he was bombarded with phone calls and text messages from news outlets dying to know if there was any truth to the rumors.

Star continued on to share his preferences for men. “Let me just say this one time for any news outlet, I like very tall men,” he stated. “Me and Kanye have never hung out and this whole thing is really funny. So, I guess if this is the start to my New Year, then Happy New Year… I really can’t and if Kris Jenner orchestrated this whole thing, Happy New Year sweetie girl.”
The beauty guru added that he had not slept with Kanye and that he was currently single. But just because Star has denied all claims doesn’t mean the rumor mill isn’t still flowing. Furthermore, even the suggestion that he was sleeping with Kanye has allegedly sparked interest from other rappers. In fact, Star recently took to his Twitter again to let fans know about the many rappers sliding into his DMs.

“I’m definitely NOT sleeping with Kanye, but the amount of rappers in my DM’s is wilddddd bi*ch,” Star penned. “Time to make a hit song in bed.” Clearly, Star isn’t letting the rumors get him down. It’ll be interesting to see if anything becomes of all those DMs he’s allegedly received.
