How did Jennifer Aniston become famous?

Aniston was born in 1969, the daughter of actors John Aniston and Nancy Dow. She was primarily raised in New York City and at an early age, found herself drawn to the world of acting.

As a child, Aniston started performing in local theater productions. By the late eighties, Aniston was supporting herself as an actress while also working a series of other odd jobs including telemarketing and waitressing.

In the early nineties, Aniston started appearing in both television and films. Most of her roles during this time were of the cheesy variety, and she even appeared in the widely-panned horror film Leprechaun in 1993.

In 1994, after a series of appearances in poorly-received television shows, Aniston scored her big breakout in the brand-new series Friends.

Alongside her co-stars, Aniston became one of the most recognizable faces of the decade and her character, Rachel Green, became hugely popular. As Aniston’s career began to skyrocket due to the success of Friends, Aniston started appearing in bigger-budget films such as Picture Perfect, The Good Girl, and Bruce Almighty

By the time Friends ended in 2004, Aniston was a huge worldwide star. She went on to appear in many more major films, including Marley and Me, The Bounty Hunter, Horrible Bosses, We’re the Millers, Just Go with It, Cake, and Mother’s Day.

Although her most popular films have been comedies, Aniston has also earned acclaim as a dramatic actress. She is known for her willingness to devote herself completely to a role.

In 2019, Aniston made her highly-anticipated return to episodic television when she began starring in the Apple TV+ series The Morning Show, opposite Reese Witherspoon. Aniston has received a great deal of critical acclaim for her performance in the series and has been nominated for multiple awards.

These days, Aniston seems to be on top of the world.

Currently, she is not in a high-profile relationship. Although rumors continue to swirl about the state of her relationship with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, the two remain merely friends.

There have also been rumors about a Friends revival. While that possibility remains unconfirmed, there’s no doubt that Aniston remains very close with all of her former co-stars, as she frequently posts pictures with them on her newly debuted Instagram account. 

Aniston recently opened up about her life and career in a revealing interview with her friend, Sandra Bullock. At one point in the interview, Aniston revealed her secret to maintaining her famous chill.

Bullock asked Aniston how it feels to be given a “massive second chapter” in life, and Aniston replied simply with “I don’t know.” Elaborating further, Aniston revealed that the “real key to success in life, to not worry about the landing, but enjoy the experience.”

Aniston admits she always enjoys the creative process and loves being part of a team but that she’s never had negative press or a bad reception ruin her day. There’s no doubt Aniston lives life on her own terms and has managed to carve out one of the most successful careers in Hollywood — and she’s still going strong.
