For reality TV fans, it’s hard to imagine a world without the Duggars. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar brought their 19 kids into the spotlight over a decade ago — and a few of their most famous kids now have followers of their own. While Jessa, Jinger, and Jana Duggar have plenty of fans, it’s Jill Duggar who appears to draw the most attention now.

Jill’s husband, Derick Dillard, has been a controversial Duggar-family figure for years. While he’s no longer featured on TLC’s Counting On, he took to Instagram at the end of December to spill some secrets about how the Duggars (namely Jim Bob) treat him and Jill. Oddly enough, after the tea was spilled, Jill notified her Instagram followers that she opened a P.O. box for them to send her mail.

It looks like letters from fans are already rolling in, too. Here’s what Jill said she’s received so far.

Jill Duggar set up a P.O. box after Derick Dillard’s scathing claims against the Duggars

Jill and her husband have been the centers of Duggar controversy for years. While Dillard first got himself and Jill removed from Counting On due to transphobic tweets against TLC co-star Jazz Jennings, it’s his scathing remarks against Jim Bob that have fans asking more and more questions now.

Dillard posted a photo to Instagram of his family on Christmas Day — and when a fan asked if the Dillard family ever sees the other Duggars, he started spilling the tea. He claimed that he and Jill rarely see the other Duggars, and they need express permission from Jim Bob before they go to the big family home.

“Jill even had to ask JB permission to go over to the house to help her sister when she was in labor because her sister wanted her help, but Jill couldn’t provide the assistance until we got it cleared with JB,” Dillard claimed.

While fans are still reeling from the Instagram conversation, Jill remained silent. But she did make a bold move of her own: She set up a P.O. box where fans can send their letters. “Made a trip to the post office today to get a new P.O. box! Swipe up in my stories for contact info,” she captioned her post about the mailbox.

Fans questioned her decision to get fan mail

This appears to be Jill’s first P.O. box and foray into fan mail, and her Instagram followers have a ton of questions as to why she’s deciding to set this up now. The timing lines up perfectly with Dillard’s claims, so there’s a chance Jill wants to hear what her fans have to say in writing. But it seems some of her followers think she’s looking for freebies and that’s the real reason she now has the mailbox.

“So, you’re essentially just begging for people to send you free stuff now?” one follower commented on the P.O. box post.

“Please don’t send them money and free stuff!” another mentioned.

This isn’t the first time Jill’s been accused of fishing for free things, either. She’s posted photos of her with her family going to get free food in the past, and her followers slammed her back then for it, too.

Jill’s already showing what she’s received

Despite the backlash, fans are sending Jill letters and gifts to her P.O. box already.

“Got mail from our P.O. box for the first time! Thank you guys for the mail. Thank you, Miss Ellen, for the sweet gift and for the skirts …,” Jill told her Instagram Story while panning over the various letters and gifts she was given. And her two kids appeared excited about the mail as well.

From the looks of the video, it appears Jill got some larger packages as well as smaller letters, so we’re hoping she’ll go into even more detail about her favorite items she’s received so far. Considering she just got the P.O. box five days prior to posting to her Instagram Story about what she’s received, that’s a quick turnaround. And we’re betting she has plenty more fan mail to come.
