Jill Duggar Is Setting Up a Mailbox for Fan Mail Amid Derick Dillard’s Instagram Drama
We’ve been keeping up with the Duggars for years, and shows like Counting On give fans insight into what their lives are really like. While Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have been sharing their stories of their 19 kids for over a decade, it’s the older children who are taking the spotlight. And currently, all eyes are on Jill Duggar.
Jill isn’t a regular on Counting On anymore after her husband, Derick Dillard, wrote transphobic tweets that got them kicked off of the network. But Dillard has plenty of his own truths to unearth. He’s taken to Instagram to share how he really feels about the Duggars — and it’s shocking his and Jill’s followers.
Jill has yet to make any comments regarding what Dillard has said, but it seems she may be willing to connect with her followers in a more private manner. She just showed her Instagram followers a P.O. box that they can now contact her with.
Rumors suggest Jill Duggar doesn’t get along with the rest of her family
While Jessa, Jinger, and Jana Duggar have a healthy presence on Counting On, Jill rarely makes appearances. Many may assume this is because of her husband, but eagle-eyed fans wondered if something else is going on. Those who follow the Duggar Family Instagram may notice how Jill’s family never seems to be involved with big Duggar events, like the holidays or even weekly gatherings. And it’s led many to wonder if there’s a rift between Jill and her parents.
During Thanksgiving 2019, Jill was seen spending time with her in-laws and friends, but she didn’t stop by the large Duggar home. For Christmas, it seems Jill, her husband, and their kids also stayed home while everyone else (aside from Josh Duggar) met up at the family’s house.
So, what could have started the rift? The beef between Dillard and TLC could’ve caused the first of many issues. “Everything that Derick has said has caused the family bad press,” an insider told Radar Online.

While Jill doesn’t make any negative comments about her family, her husband isn’t in the same camp. In Touch Weekly reported on Dec. 27 that Dillard took to his Instagram comments to set the record straight about where he and Jill stood with the Duggar family, namely with Jim Bob.
One of Dillard’s followers commented on an Instagram post and asked if he and Jill ever went over to the Duggar family home. To that, Dillard answered, “yes, but it’s just harder now because we’re not allowed at the house when JB isn’t there.” He then added, “Jill even had to ask JB permission to go over to the house to help her sister when she was in labor because her sister wanted her help, but Jill couldn’t provide the assistance until we got it cleared with JB.”
Dillard also maintains that the only reason he and Jill were on Counting On at all was that they felt like they had no other options. “We were made to believe we didn’t have a choice, and that we would be sued if we refused,” he added.

Since Dillard spilled all this info with his followers, fans are waiting to see if Jill will give any response. So far, she’s remained quiet. But she added an Instagram post about a P.O. box she’s setting up — and it looks like her followers will have access to the address.
“Made a trip to the post office today to get a new P.O. box! Swipe up in my stories for contact info,” she captioned the post.
Unfortunately, not all of her fans are happy about this. Many worried that Jill is looking for freebies from followers, and others are confused behind the purpose of the box at all.
“Is this to encourage people to send you stuff? I’m confused,” one follower asked.
“I don’t think it’s the greatest idea that you put the P.O. Box location and #. Very dangerous for those crazy people out there who like to steal things,” another wrote.
“Please, why are you showing on social media your personal Post Office Box # and where it is located?! You all have many haters,” yet another added.
Perhaps Jill is going to use the P.O. box to communicate with her followers about the truth regarding her family — or maybe it will just be for freebies and fan mail. Only time will tell, but the timing is definitely interesting!
