It was during his time in college, according to IMDb, that Hill began to devote time to the study of the performing arts, regularly writing plays and acting in them. Hill was successful at writing plays and began to make connections in the entertainment industry.

Hill started acting in movies not long after beginning his playwriting journey, appearing in small roles in movies such as Knocked Up, I Heart Huckabees, Accepted, Click, and Grandma’s Boy. Hill’s first leading role was in the hit comedy Superbad. He quickly made a name for himself as a fearless comedy actor, a star who was willing to put himself in ridiculous situations for the sake of the project.

Jonah Hill’s fitness journey

A few years after Hill’s sudden rise to stardom, fans began to notice something different about the performer. Notably, he had lost a significant amount of weight around the year 2011. Opening up about his transformation, Hill revealed that he had initially lost the weight by eliminating junk food from his diet, incorporating a lot of sushi and other raw foods into his daily routine.

Hill also adopted an exercise routine, regularly going to the gym and doing lots of push-ups. Although Hill’s weight has fluctuated in the years since his initial weight loss, with the actor transforming for several roles, he has maintained his healthy lifestyle.

In the process of overhauling his life, Hill has become a bonafide fashion icon. According to Man of Many, Hill is known for not using a stylist and draws much of his style inspiration from street-style culture, often wearing graphic tees and athleisure.

What did Jonah Hill say about his love for fashion?

In recent weeks, Hill has been promoting his exclusive collaboration with the shoe brand Adidas. In an interview with GQ, Hill revealed that he has long had a “passion for style” but that for a long time, he was a “bigger guy.”

Hill stated: “It’s really hard when you’re overweight to dress a certain way, because clothes aren’t made for people who are overweight to have style. So, I think it surprises people. The idea was realizing, whether I was big or small, that I really can define my own personal style.”

Hill also revealed that as he grew into himself, the biggest shift was when he decided that he could just “be himself.” As Hill admitted, “you don’t have to be anything you don’t want to be. And if you’re really interested in fashion then you should be, don’t push that away. Lean into it.”

In discussing his new collection, Hill described it as a line that “really works out well for the Covid lifestyle—basketball shorts, work pants. And they got the fat laces in the work pants, which is pretty cool.” For Hill, this fashion evolution is a fresh beginning that could translate to an eventual bonafide fashion empire.
