Josh Duggar’s Alleged Computer Software Should’ve Alerted Anna Duggar About Sexual Abuse
Josh Duggar was recently arrested for obtaining child sexual abuse material, and it’s rocking the Duggar family from TLC’s Counting On. So far, many of the Duggars, like Jessa, Jinger, and Jim Bob and Michelle, have issued statements regarding the arrest. And now, new information has come to light. Officials stated Josh had computer software that should’ve alerted wife Anna Duggar when he looks at pornographic material.
Where is Josh Duggar today? The Duggar family member has trouble with the law
Those who’ve kept up with the Duggar family over the years are quite familiar with Josh’s scandals of the past. In 2015, the media brought to light molestation allegations. Years prior, Josh allegedly molested a few of his sisters and a babysitter. Jill and Jessa Duggar later came forward to speak on what occurred, and they noted they forgave Josh for what occurred. TLC then removed Josh from 19 Kids and Counting.
Now, in 2021, Josh is back in the spotlight. Agents arrested him on April 29, 2021, for receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material. This also comes off the heels of Josh Duggar’s Homeland Security raid in November 2019.
On April 30, Josh pled not guilty to the charges, and the judge set his bond hearing to May 5. Josh’s lawyers then allegedly argued for Josh’s early release on bond prior to his trial to assist his pregnant wife, Anna. It seems Josh was able to get the release, but he can’t be around any minors or visit his parents’ home.

Now, we’re learning more about what’s going on with Josh’s recent arrest. According to People, investigators found a computer program installed on the Duggar family member’s computer that tracked his internet usage. The tracking program, called Covenant Eyes, also showed Anna what Josh looked at
Covenant Eyes is “accountability software,” according to the website. As for how it works, the software takes screenshots at intermittent time periods and sends them to an “ally.” For those with addictions to pornography, it can help hold them accountable for stepping away from the lewd content. Josh’s past admission of a pornography addiction may be why he has the software installed in the firs place.
It doesn’t seem like Covenant Eyes detected the child sexual abuse material Josh allegedly has, though. Investigators allegedly found the illegal material on a different part of the computer’s hard drive that bypassed Covenant Eyes.
Is Anna Duggar still married?
So, is Anna still with Josh? So far, there hasn’t been any word of how her marriage is currently doing. But she talked about walking through difficult periods of life with Josh in the past, and they’ve always worked through the hardest times.
“It is such a betrayal for a spouse to go through what we’re walking through,” Anna said of Josh’s past issues with infidelity, according to a TLC clip. “It was hard to realize that it was such a public thing, and so not only was it a betrayal against me, but it was also a betrayal for those who call themselves Christian, because here we were as a Christian couple … and that loyalty was broken.”
Anna hasn’t made any statement regarding the current allegations against Josh. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
