As Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette approaches, fans are reminiscing over the hairstylist’s relationship with Juan Pablo Galavis. The couple met on The Bachelor Season 18. But after an explosive breakup, it was abundantly clear things wouldn’t work out. Now, will Galavis and Crawley reunite on The Bachelorette Season 16? The former bachelor recently hinted he was invited back.

What happened to Juan Pablo Galavis and Clare Crawley on ‘The Bachelor’?

Crawley and Galavis had an interesting run on The Bachelor Season 18, to say the least. The new bachelorette made it through to the top two, alongside Nikki Ferrel. But in the finale, Galavis whispered something shocking in Crawley’s ear during a helicopter ride without mics or cameras.

“He chose to tell me something that no woman wants to hear. That he doesn’t know me and some sexual thing I don’t want to repeat,” Crawley said at the time. “It was insulting, and it was offensive.”

Then according to Us Weekly, Galavis said, “I love f*cking you. But I don’t know you.”

Meanwhile, Galavis broke up with Crawley, and the Sacramento native got the final word.

“I lost respect for you,” she said. “I thought I knew what kind of man you were. What you made me go through, I would never want my children having a father like you.”

Are Clare Crawley and Juan Pablo Galavis friends now?

Bachelor Nation fans haven’t seen much interaction between Galavis and Crawley since they left the flagship series in 2014. But when Crawley was announced as the 2020 bachelorette, a few things happened.

In March, Galavis commented on Crawley’s young cast, even noting they were “kids.” Then when the former bachelor claimed he wasn’t jealous, Crawley wrote, “And yet here you are, older than 99% of them and still cant practice compassion and kindness.”

Meanwhile, Galavis seemingly shaded Crawley’s Bachelorette promo, which highlighted the breakup.

“Interesting PROMO of @Clare_Crawley and the season of @BacheloretteABC,” Galavis wrote on Twitter in September. “6 years LATER and I know WHO is the Juan that can’t get OVER Juan… Would LOVE if you take a GUESS? PS: Clare got over LONG time ago, just in CASE.”

‘The Bachelorette’: Clare Crawley Has Something to Say About Ending Up Alone After the Show

Despite Galavis’ response to Crawley’s Bachelorette journey, the former soccer player recently told Life & Style Magazine that he doesn’t think his ex still has feelings for him. So it doesn’t seem like Galavis and Crawley would have anything to hash out now. But even so, The Bachelor Season 18 alum claimed producers reached out to him to appear on Crawley’s season.

“She wanted to make peace with me,” Galavis told the publication. “I’m not sure if that was her or producers trying to get me back on the show,” he said. “But, if it was her, that was nice.”

In all honesty, a cameo by Galavis would feel almost unnecessary. The couple broke things off back in 2014 and have since moved on. Crawley even got engaged to Benoît Beauséjour-Savard during the Bachelor Winter Games finale. But whether or not Galavis shows up on The Bachelorette Season 16,  Crawley’s season is already shaping up to be the most dramatic yet. So get ready.

The Bachelorette Season 16 premieres Tuesday, Oct. 13.
