Justin Bieber and BTS may be set to collaborate on a new song, and if this happens, the music industry might explode. Bieber and the K-Pop group are massive in their own right with their own mega fans, the Beliebers and the BTS ARMY respectively.

Seeing how the “Peaches” singer and the “Dynamite” stars’ music has evolved over the past several years, this seems like the perfect time for them to join forces. Neither the Justice singer nor Jin, V, RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jungkook, or Jimin have announced anything official. However, there are some major hints that this collab is a go.

Here’s what we know so far about this potential hit single.

Justin Bieber is a huge BTS fan

Bieber is a massive fan of BTS, and he jumped on Instagram to celebrate their success when their song “Dynamite” hit number one on the Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. They are the first K-pop group in history to achieve this.

“If anyone knows how to make history, it’s BTS. The K-Pop group has been shattering records across the global music industry,” Bieber said in one voiceover, according to Billboard. “Historically, non-English songs have had a hard time getting radio play, and as a result rarely do they see the top of the Billboard charts. “Dynamite” is one of BTS’s first songs performed entirely in English.”

Before this, Bieber tweeted about BTS, namely wishing Jungkook a Happy Birthday in 2019.

Have BTS and Justin Bieber ever met?

BTS is also admirers of Bieber and they’ve posted videos of themselves singing along to the singer’s songs in the past. “I like this song,” V captioned a video of himself listening to the 27-year-old singer’s song “Intentions.” BTS has also called Bieber a musical influence in the past.

Despite BTS and Bieber’s mutual admiration for each other’s work and artistry, it does not appear that they’ve ever met. BTS has already met many celebrities, including Beyoncé and Jay-Z at the 2020 Grammys and stars like Post Malone, Madonna, and John Legend.

Their interactions with Bieber have seemingly been all online. However, that could all change very soon.

It appears that BTS and Bieber might have a massive collaboration on the way. An insider told Page Six that the group and the solo singer are cooking up a mega-hit. “They are taking their time on it and going to make sure it is released right,” the source revealed.

This collab isn’t coming out of thin air. The artists’ respective record companies have just merged. BTS’ record company. Hybe, formerly known as Big Hit Entertainment, purchased Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings for a reported $1 billion. 

According to Deadline, Braun will join the company board, bringing over his clients, Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, and J Balvin.
