George Hahn may have sparked the next Emmy Award-winning 2022 duo: Put his cousin, actor/comedian Kathryn Hahn together with actor/comedian Catherine O’Hara and watch the hilarity unfold.

He proudly tweeted and posted about how his cousin scored a 2021 Emmy nod. And while Kathryn did not go home with the trophy, her cousin (and everyone else) knows her career is only heating up. In fact, George envisioned Kathryn and Catherine together as a zany mother-daughter duo. “I’d love to see a comedy where Catherine O’Hara plays my cousin Kathryn’s mother. Is it just me?” he tweeted during the Emmy Awards ceremony.

Fans are here for the Kathryn Hahn and Catherine O’Hara duo

George received a flood of responses, with nearly 100% of them in (strong) favor of this pairing. “It’s definitely not just you. Catherine O’Hara and Kathryn Hahn equal comedy gold,” a fan replied on the Twitter thread.

“I would watch anything with the two of them in it together, even if it’s just 90 minutes of them reading ads from the yellow pages…” another person added. Others are hoping to manifest this genius idea. “Can you even IMAGINE how amazing that would be?! Universe make it happen!” a fan wrote.

Putting these comedians together is something others have considered in the past. In March, film critic Robert Daniels tweeted, “Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn buddy comedy. When Hollywood???”

Have the comedians ever worked together?

Kathryn and Catherine have worked together in the past. They appeared together in the third episode of The Greatest Event in Television History. The 2012 series ran as part of the Cartoon Network’s late-night programming, “Adult Swim.” Created by actor Adam Scott, the limited series was a mockumentary that recreated some of the most beloved 1980s sitcoms.

Catherine and Kathryn starred in the episode, “Too Close for Comfort.” Before the episode aired, Adam was pretty secretive about the episode. He told Vulture the episode was, “by far the stupidest one we’ve done yet. Almost embarrassingly stupid. Hopefully in a funny way.” Kathryn was seen wearing a blonde wig too.

George Hahn is Kathryn Hahns number one fan

Kathryn’s success is thrilling for George. He wrote in a 2010 blog that he was happy fans were starting to see her comedic brilliance. “I cannot express how giddy I get when I see my cousin Kathryn Hahn on screen,” he wrote. “Without applying a Hahn bias, I can safely say that she is one of the funniest talents working in the business.”

“Even when the films aren’t too well received, Kathryn stands out as a scene-stealer,” he noted. “If you’ve seen Step BrothersAnchormanThe Goods or Hung, you know what I’m talking about. In Revolutionary Road, she hung up her comedy shoes for a heart-wrenching turn as Milly, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet’s next-door neighbor.”

“In the spirit of Tina Fey, Amy Poehler (a Boston College classmate of mine), Kristen Wiig, Sarah Silverman, Catherine O’Hara and others, Kathryn Hahn is fast becoming one of Hollywood’s sophisticated, smart, top-shelf funny girls. It’s a thrill to watch,” he added. Which begs the question: how about a full lineup with all of these transcendent and iconic women?
