Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson have yet to confirm if they’re officially back together after spending quarantine at Khloé’s house with their daughter, True Thompson. But fans are pretty convinced the exes have rekindled their romance, based on their social media photos, media reports about their relationship, and the direction Keeping Up With the Kardashians seems to be going in.
The 19th season of the reality series is currently airing on E!, and this season has been dominated by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Fans of the show already saw Khloé fall ill with the virus, forcing her to quarantine in her bedroom until she felt better. Her NBA player ex cared for True while Khloé was out of commission. In a clip from an upcoming episode airing on Thursday, Nov. 12, the Good American founder is no longer sick and is FaceTiming with BFF Malika Haqq about her dynamic with Tristan.
Khloé Kardashian felt pressure from her family about her relationship with Tristan Thompson
The clip starts with Malika talking about her co-parenting relationship with ex-boyfriend O.T. Genasis. (The two welcomed a baby boy, Ace, on March 14, 2020.) Khloé’s longtime best friend then asks how things were going with Tristan, 29.
“I could also tell his energy is different,” Khloé is quick to add. “He’ll touch my shoulders, or something. I’m like, ‘OK, you’re getting a little too touchy.’ He’s like, ‘I just want you to know, if ever you are thinking the same thing, I’m here for you.'”
“So you know the door is still open,” a slightly surprised Malika responds before declaratively saying, “He’s still in love with you.”
“I know that, but I think I feel a little more pressure,” Khloé says. “Even my family is like, ‘So, are you guys sleeping together, or not?’ I’m like, ‘No, we’re not.’ He’s never said, ‘I need an answer,’ but I almost feel like he needs an answer as to like, what are we doing?”
Tristan Thompson was ‘antsy’ about his dynamic with Khloé Kardashian during quarantine
The coronavirus pandemic did force a lot of people—both famous and not—into weird home dynamics—like those who have broken up with their live-in partners during quarantine. Khloé says being in the same house for so long definitely affected their dynamic.
“I do feel pressure from Tristan but not because he’s ever told me,” she says in a confessional interview. “I’ve never had an ultimatum from Tristan. I just feel like it’s been over a year since we broke up and now that we’re hanging out more, I can tell that he’s getting antsy.”
“I just wish I had a definitive answer on my end,” she says in the clip. “I 100% have a block up, but who wouldn’t? Every relationship I go into, they’re always disappointing and f*cked up. I have every reason to be guarded. I have every reason to have these bricks up and layers. If somebody cares enough, they will take those bricks down brick by brick.”
Fans will have to wait and see if Tristan does, indeed, take those bricks down as Season 19 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians resumes.
