They call it impulse buying. You may be guilty of it, especially when you spot something you just have to have, and you don’t pay any attention to how much it costs. Celebrities aren’t immune to impulse buying either. Except when they buy things, the price tags tend to have a few extra zeroes on them. Rapper and Grammy winner, Lil’ Wayne fell prey to must-have buying when he purchased a sleek new ride. It set him back $2.7 million, and he didn’t seem to mind.

Making Lil’ Wayne a household name

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1982, Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. knew music would be his gift from the early age of eight. As a teenager, he was already creating ground-breaking songs. By 2009, he won a family of Grammy Awards for songs like “Lollipop,” “A Milli,” and “Swagga Like Us.” With his rapping fame and his iconic stage name of Lil’ Wayne, he’s branched out into a variety of business segments. His fashion line, “Trukfit,” has been a success and contributes to his overall estimated wealth of $120 million. In addition to creating his wealth and becoming a household name, Lil’ Wayne also has four children.

A few pricey rides in his celebrity-level garage

With his wealth and hefty bankroll, Lil’ Wayne can afford to own any vehicle he wants. And his celebrity garage is full of some of the most exotic and expensive rides out there. He bought his all-black Porsche Boxster when he was 19, according to Hot Cars. And to commemorate his age, he insisted the car have 19-inch wheels. One car that seems to be popular among celebrity car enthusiasts is the Bugatti Veyron. Lil’ Wayne may have been feeling a little of that impulse buying pressure, considering his former mentor Birdman and rapping counterpart, Cash Money, already each had one of their own. Lil’ Wayne bought a Bugatti for himself, reports Hot Cars. He, of course, had some customizations added, including his favorite black matte finish. When he was done personalizing his luxury ride, he had invested $2.7 million.
