Johnny Depp has a tattoo dedicated to his daughter across his heart
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor has never shied away from body art. The actor has at least 37 tattoos, according to BodyArtGuru.com. Several of these tattoos are dedicated to the special women in his life.
This includes a portrait of his mother, along with phrases and quotes dedicated to his ex-girlfriends. The ex’s lucky enough to be inked on the actor’s body include Winona Ryder, Vanessa Paradis, and Amber Heard. But one of the most meaningful tattoos he has is the one dedicated to his daughter. Depp has her name, Lily-Rose, tattooed across his heart.
The actor describes the moment she was born, which gave him an epiphany. He tells BodyArtGuru.com, “When Lily-Rose arrived, you know it was sorta like . . . boom! You hit the pavement, and it’s strong beneath you, and suddenly you realize, ‘Ah, that’s what it’s for. That’s why you care about integrity or doing things without compromise. It’s for that. It’s for her.”

But as she reveals in a spread for W Magazine, the only time she doesn’t feel anxious is when she’s in front of a camera. Depp says when she’s acting, she isn’t herself. Instead, she is the character that she’s portraying.
Depp tells W Magazine,
“Since getting her first taste of acting a few years ago, she replies, she’s had no choice but to make it her life’s work. The only place where she’s genuinely free of self-consciousness is, in fact, a movie set, where she can be fully immersed in a character. “When I’m acting, I’m not thinking about myself,” she says. “Because I’m not there. You know?”
