Lindsie Chrisley says guilty verdict is not what she ‘prayed’ for

On June 7, a federal jury found Todd and Julie Chrisley guilty of conspiring to fraudulently obtain more than $30 million in loans from community banks in the Atlanta area. They were also convicted of tax evasion and other charges, and Julie Chrisley was convicted of wire fraud and obstruction of justice.

Lindsie – who is Todd’s daughter from his previous marriage – spoke out about the case in a post to her Instagram Story on June 8.

“I know most of you are expecting to hear from me on my podcasts this week as I took time to be with my family last week,” she wrote. “The verdict is not what I had hoped or prayed for, and I am deeply saddened for myself, my son, and my family as a whole. Please pray for us during this difficult time and know that I will be back when the time is right. Thank you for your continued love and support.”

Ex-‘Chrisley Knows Best’ star testified in her father’s fraud case

Lindsie has had a fraught relationship with Todd Chrisley and other members of her family in recent years. She appeared in early seasons of Chrisley Knows Best. However, she left the show in 2017 as her relationship with her father broke down.

Two years later, Lindsie accused Todd Chrisley and her brother Kyle Chrisley of attempting to extort her using a sex tape, according to a report in E! News. She said they had threatened to release the tape if she did not lie about a particular incident. Todd Chrisley denied his daughter’s allegations.

The question of the sex tape came up when Lindsie testifed during Todd and Julie’s recent trial, Insider reported. She said she now does not believe her father was involved in the extortion attempt and the sex tape did not exist. Lindsie also testifed about her time working with her father’s company, Chrisley Asset Management, and her relationship with Mark Braddock, who co-owned the business with Todd Chrisley. Braddock later tipped off the FBI about the Chrisleys’ fraud. He also testified that he had an affair with Todd Chrisley.
