We’ve been watching the Roloff family navigate their lives for over 14 years, and Little People, Big World is still going strong today. A lot has changed over the years for the family, especially since Matt and Amy Roloff, the two little people who made the show possible, are now divorced. Both Matt and Amy have moved on with significant others of their own, but there’s still a ton of tension in their relationship. And that’s especially true in this current season when it comes to the fate of Roloff Farms.

Viewers have watched Matt and Amy bicker throughout this season of Little People, Big World, and many have noticed Amy being particularly standoffish to Matt’s girlfriend, Caryn Chandler. Did Amy just admit the real reason why she doesn’t like Caryn? Here’s what she said.

Caryn Chandler worked on Roloff Farms long before she dated Matt Roloff

Matt and Caryn have been together for years, and Amy’s also been with her boyfriend, Chris Marek, for around the same time. Both couples have been getting ultra-close as the season goes on, and some fans even predict there could be wedding bells in both Matt and Amy’s futures. It’s also interesting to note that Caryn knew Matt long before they started dating — and it was all through Roloff Farms.

CafeMom reminds us Caryn was one of the main workers to run pumpkin season, which is Roloff Farms’ busiest time. As Matt once explained on the show, “Caryn is instrumental in running pumpkin season, she’s run it for 10 years.” While the two didn’t start dating until well after Matt and Amy divorced, Matt has since explained just how much he likes Caryn’s company. “I enjoy her immensely. Whether we’re working or whether we’re relaxing, we have a great time together,” he said.

Fans have accused Amy Roloff of being unfairly rude to Caryn

It’s quite apparent to LPBW fans that Amy isn’t the biggest fan of Caryn. Amy’s noted before how difficult it is working on the farm with Matt and his girlfriend, and in 2018, she even mentioned their relationship wasn’t healthy for her to be around. “Caryn has been part of pumpkin season and managing it for a long time and does a great job. But knowing the relationship between Matt and Caryn, and to know that they’re dating … You know, to work beside Caryn, it’s not healthy for me,” she said.

An insider also told Radar Online that Amy was particularly hurt that Matt would choose to date one of the Roloff Farms employees so quickly after the divorce — and she also allegedly felt like Matt was treating Caryn better than he treated her. “The way he’s treating Caryn is nothing like how he treated her during their marriage. It was like a blow to the chest,” the insider said.

Unfortunately for Amy, many fans seem to think she’s blown the whole relationship out of proportion. In Touch Weekly notes one fan commented on a social media post from Amy, “I love the show, but the jealousy that you show over Matt moving on with Caryn is ridiculous. You have a new relationship yourself, so why put Matt down for moving on?”

Amy may have just explained why she’s wary of Caryn

One can assume why Amy isn’t the biggest fan of Caryn and Matt’s relationship. Amy has noted before how difficult it was to move on with the divorce, and it can’t be easy owning a business with her ex. With that said, In Touch Weekly notes a Facebook Live clip from March has Amy getting candid about why Caryn makes her so uncomfortable. “We had someone that worked for us for a very long time, on our farm. And I believe — this is all from my perspective — that there was more than just friends going on. And I think that evolved to a point where that got in the way of our marriage as well,” Amy said.

Did Amy just allude to the idea that Matt may have been cheating on her during their marriage? We’re not sure it’s quite that severe, but Amy then goes on to explain in the video that “how it [the relationship] evolved” was way more bothersome to her than the divorce itself. Matt has also said in the past that his idea of commitment is much different than Amy’s, which led to marital problems.
