‘Little People, Big World’: Matt Roloff Teases Remodel on Roloff Farms, and Some Fans Think It’s for Jacob Roloff

Fans of TLC’s Little People, Big World know all about the saga of Roloff Farms. Matt and Amy Roloff bought the farm together when they got married decades ago. But their divorce brought major division to the property. Ultimately, Amy moved off of the farm property, and now, Matt just teased that he’s remodeling her farmhouse. And some fans think he’s getting ready to give it to Jacob Roloff.

Did Matt Roloff sell Roloff Farms? Here’s where the ‘Little People, Big World’ property stands in 2022

Matt Roloff adores Roloff Farms, as it’s a staple of Little People, Big World, as well as his life. He still lives on the farm property and maintains it. And he also opens Roloff Farms to the public for pumpkin season.

But what about Amy Roloff’s side of the farm? Did Matt sell Roloff Farms at all, or does he still own all of the property? Matt’s talked extensively about possibly selling Amy’s side of the farm after she sold her side to him. So far, it looks like he’s still in control of the entire property, though. While both Zach and Jeremy Roloff expressed interest in purchasing her side of the farm, they didn’t pull the trigger. And The Sun reports Matt chose to rent out Amy’s side of the farm. Jacob Roloff and Molly Roloff have not spoken much about the property.

Additionally, Matt once said he never plans on selling all of Roloff Farms. “I’m planning on dying here on this side of the farm,” Matt said on the First Class Fatherhood podcast. “Now, the north side — we call it the original side — the 33 acres, hopefully, we’re going to figure out which one of the kids might be interested, or a combination thereof. But, the south side of the farm, I’m hoping to dig my grave here.”

Matt Roloff teased he’s remodeling Amy Roloff’s large farmhouse

While Little People, Big World fans don’t know everything in store for Roloff Farms, Matt Roloff recently gave a clue as to what he’s up to.

On Feb. 7, 2022, Matt posted a photo of Amy Roloff’s old farmhouse on Instagram. “The ‘big house’ being prepped and remodeled,” he captioned the post. “Still looks great in all the sunlight!”

Some fans on Matt’s Instagram suggested Matt might be remodeling the home for his girlfriend, Caryn Chandler. However, Caryn verified she never wants to live in Amy’s old house. “I would never live in the big house,” Caryn told the Little People, Big World cameras. “Ever. Put a pin in that.”

Others are just noticing how huge the farmhouse is for the first time. “Wow, the house looks really big in this picture,” a fan commented on Matt’s photo. “Have you added decking on the side? I don’t remember the house being this big! It’s such a beautiful home!”

Matt’s also recently posted about other home projects. Another Instagram post showed he’s fixing up a new irrigation system for the big house.

Some fans think Matt Roloff is prepping the farmhouse for Jacob Roloff

So, what will Matt Roloff do with the Roloff Farms farmhouse? Some fans seem to think he’s prepping to give it to Jacob Roloff.

“Jacob may end up [with it],” a fan speculated, according to The Sun. “Jacob is the one needing financial assistance now that they have a child.”

Jacob never talked about potentially purchasing the farmhouse in the past, but now that Zach and Jeremy Roloff passed up the opportunity, it seems up for grabs. Additionally, Matt’s posted recent photos of Jacob helping out on the property. On the irrigation project post, Matt mentioned Jacob helped him with the project. Jacob also recently had a baby with his wife, so it might be the perfect time for him to take over some of Roloff Farms.

We’re sure the next season of Little People, Big World will give more context to what Matt’s doing with the property.
