‘Little People, Big World’: New Trailer Teases Issues With Amy Roloff Selling Roloff Farms

Amy Roloff from 'Little People, Big World' chose to sell her half of Roloff Farms to Matt Roloff. Now, a new trailer for the new season is here -- and it shows there still could be complications regarding what happens with the property. Here's what's happening.

Little People, Big World is coming back to TLC, and fans are more excited than ever to see what the Roloff family is up to. Last season, fans saw Amy Roloff make big plans to move off of Roloff Farms — and she also decided she’d sell her half of the farm to Matt Roloff. Now, the new season trailer shows more questions surrounding the farmland. Here’s what’s going on.

New ‘Little People, Big World’ trailer raises questions about Roloff Farms

The new trailer for Little People, Big World is here, according to People. Matt and Amy Roloff are featured, as are Matt’s girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, Amy’s fiancé, Chris Marek, and Zach and Tori Roloff. The trailer seems to pick up right where the last season left off.

The trailer opens with Amy playing a cannon game on the farm, and she’s seemingly shooting at something she’s imagining is Matt. “Come on, Amy — I know you’ve always wanted to do this to me,” Matt tells her. This seems to set the tone for the season.

In another part of the clip, Zach talks to Tori about how Matt is buying Amy’s section of the farm. And it then jumps to Matt and Amy discussing the logistics of farm ownership.

“I always knew, in the end, he would want it all,” Amy tells the camera. It seems there’s additional strife when it comes to selling her half of the farm to Matt, though Matt seems happy to have it.

To make matters even more complicated, it looks like Chris and Matt get along quite well — and Amy could be using Roloff Farms as her wedding venue. We’re hopeful they’ll allow their big day to be captured by Little People, Big World cameras.

Does Amy Roloff still own some of the farm?

So, what is the status of Roloff Farms currently? Does Amy Roloff still own a portion of the Little People, Big World land?

It seems Amy is completely finished with land ownership in regards to the farm. Prior to last season showing her decision to sell her half of the farm to Matt, Radar Online reported Amy sold her land to her ex-husband for $667,000 in 2019.

Additionally, Amy seemingly had even more to sell back, which she did. The Sun reported she sold Matt 32 acres of land for $975,000 in August 2020. In order for Matt to complete the sale, he also reportedly took out a $825,000 loan.

So, who resides on the Little People, Big World farm property currently? It looks like Matt and Caryn still do, though that could change in the near future. The couple adores spending time in Surprise, Arizona, as they have a home there. And additional reports suggest Matt is retiring from Roloff Farms in 2022.

“Matt and Caryn want to retire soon, probably by the end of 2022,” a source told The Sun. “They think it’s time after years of hard work. Jeremy is OK with this but also desperately wants to be a part of the business. There are discussions he could end up co-owning the farm with Zach moving forward.”

While Jeremy and Zach have both talked about owning Roloff Farms in the future, it doesn’t look like either of them have made moves to do so.

“Everyone thought one of the kids would take it off Matt’s hands for a discount, but that isn’t happening and he didn’t want to leave it empty, he sees it as a smart business opportunity,” another insider told The Sun.

We’re sure we’ll learn more about what’s going on with Amy Roloff and Roloff Farms on the new season of Little People, Big World, airing in May 2021.
