Viewers have been keeping up with the Roloffs for over a decade, and a lot has changed since Little People, Big World first aired. It all began with Amy and Matt Roloff, a married couple with dwarfism who chronicled their lives with their four kids. Through the show, we got to know twins Zach and Jeremy and younger siblings Molly and Jacob. And while everyone in the family seemed to get along in the beginning, fans began to notice rifts between the Roloffs when Jacob decided to leave the show.

Today, Jacob, Jeremy, and Molly are rarely on the air, and fans are starting to think Jacob and Jeremy have major issues with each other. Here’s why there could be conflict.

Fans have known Jacob as the black sheep of the family for years

There’s always one member of the family who thinks and feels differently from the rest — and for the Roloffs, that seems to be Jacob. The youngest Roloff child has never been afraid to speak his mind, though it has brought him controversy a few times in the past. Back in 2015, he posted a tweet insinuating that he wasn’t being paid for the work he did with Little People, Big World as a child — and it totally ruined the happy facade viewers came to know and love from the family. Not only that, but fans were shocked when he announced on Instagram he was leaving the show and planned on never returning.

“I get comments on here all the time about how people ‘miss me on the show’ or telling me I should ‘do a few more episodes’ with the family; I’m posting this to say that that will never happen,” he announced on Instagram in 2016. “For me, noticing how the agenda of the crew doesn’t work well with the health & happiness of our family is what made me decide quite a while ago that I would not be a part of it as soon as I was able.” While he’s not the only one to quit the series (Jeremy and Molly are also off pursuing their own dreams and are no longer affiliated), he is the only member of the family to slam the show in such a way.

Jacob and Jeremy have totally different views on religion

There’s no doubt the Roloffs are a religious bunch, and Jeremy and his wife, Audrey, make it well known on social media. The two of them entered a covenant marriage from the start, and they even have a blog dedicated toward helping married couples grow their relationship with God and their faith. Audrey’s line of products, called “Always More,” is also rooted in her Christianity.

Jacob has taken to his blog to discuss religion in the past, Radar Online reports — and it’s clear his views are much different than Jeremy’s. As he wrote, “Christians as I have experienced them have assumed a real and damaging sense of superiority over all other belief systems. … They don’t pray for you though, they pray for themselves, their spiritual security, and out of pity that you aren’t as fortunate as they to be ‘in the know.'” Jeremy never commented on his brother’s absence of God in his life, but fans seemed to think Jacob’s post was directly aimed in Jeremy’s direction.

Jacob recently unfollowed Jeremy on Instagram

While the blog post discussing religion was enough to convince fans of a feud, there’s now even more reason to assume the brothers may be feuding — and that’s because Jacob unfollowed Jeremy from Instagram. Radar Online notes early in January 2019, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Jacob was no longer following Jeremy, though no other feud was reported, so it seemed like the action came out of nowhere.

It seems there are some theories as to why Jacob unfollowed Jeremy, however. We remember when Jacob unfollowed Audrey Roloff, Jeremy’s wife, a year prior — and that was seemingly due to their clashing religious views. Radar Online notes a source close to the family said, “People already know that he doesn’t really get along with Audrey. He thinks she’s too judgmental, and I’m guessing he just didn’t want to see her on his brothers’ account anymore.”
