Locke & Key Season 2 debuted on Oct. 22, and the Netflix series features a new villain duo throughout its second outing. The first-season finale revealed that Dodge (Laysla De Oliveira) was inhabiting Gabe’s (Griffin Gluck) body. It also saw Kinsey’s (Emilia Jones) classmate Eden (Hallea Jones) becoming possessed by a demon.

Trailers for Locke & Key‘s sophomore season promised Gabe and Eden would team up in the new episodes. And season 2 delivered on that dynamic — but who brings Eden Hawkins to life?

Just like the trailers for Locke & Key Season 2 suggested, Eden’s character plays a much bigger role during this outing. Of course, it’s not actually Eden viewers are following. After getting shot by one of the bullets that came out of the Black Door, there’s a demon walking around in her body. As the season begins, it’s unclear if Kinsey’s classmate is still in there. If she is, she appears to have no control over her actions.

The person who does seem to be dictating her choices is Gabe, and the two have wicked plans for season 2. Unfortunately, they butt heads as much as they work together. The pair is as comical as they are dangerous. And Eden’s impulsive behavior will have viewers on edge throughout each installment. Fans can thank the actor who plays her for that.

So, who plays Eden in Netflix’s Locke & Key? That honor goes to Hallea Jones, a 23-year-old actor from Toronto, Canada. The Netflix series is probably Jones’ biggest project to date. However, after a compelling and entertaining performance during Locke & Key Season 2, fans can probably expect more from her in the future.

Deadline reported that Jones was promoted to a series regular back in September 2020. The actor spoke to Hollywood Life ahead of the Locke & Key premiere, and she shared some interesting insights into her character. Specifically, she felt becoming a demon was pretty on-brand for Eden:

“I think she was just on the road to this whether it be through supernatural ways or not. She was already kind of a demon in ways in the first season in mortal terms and to have this demon thing happen to her was just like, oh my god, now I can unleash everything that I want and everything that I just hunger.”

Although Locke & Key Season 2 features one of Jones’ biggest roles, she has appeared in several other projects. Viewers may recognize her from the 2019 film Let It Snow, where she plays Madison. It’s a relatively small part in the film, but Jones’ character does have a mean-girl moment worthy of Eden.

Jones has also made an appearance in Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys. Although she portrayed an unnamed character, it’s an impressive addition to any actor’s resume. After all, The Boys is quickly becoming one of the platform’s biggest shows.

It’s unclear whether we’ll see more of Jones now that she’s made a name for herself in Locke & Key Season 2. On the bright side, viewers can enjoy her performance in the meantime. All 10 new episodes are currently streaming on the platform.
