Love Island Season 3 has been very unpredictable. Soon a winner will be crowned, but it looks like a “couple” might not even win this season. This is what America’s votes revealed.

[Spoiler alert: Spoilers for the Love Island USA Season 3 episode on Aug. 8!]

The closest ‘Love Island’ Season 3 couple left

The islanders were pretty messy this season. But there were a few that found love. Shannon St. Clair and Josh Goldstein were coupled up from the very beginning. They had some trust issues but managed to work through them. Josh eventually asked Shannon to be his girlfriend, making them the first official couple of the season. Sadly, the couple left because Josh’s sister unexpectedly died

Cashay Proudfoot and Melvin “Cinco” Holland Jr. also made a strong connection in the villa. But they were in a love triangle with Trina Njoroge. Cash decided to couple up with Charlie Lynch after Casa Amor. That left Cinco single, and he was later sent home. Cash followed the same fate when Charlie chose to couple up with Alana Paolucci instead of Cash.

This means the longest-running couple is now Will Moncada and Krya Lizama. But a recent episode showed that they might not win over some of the more single islanders.

America’s votes show a ‘couple’ might not win season 3

Season 3 is about to end, and there aren’t that many couples that have been together that long or are actually romantically involved with each other. The Aug. 8 episode ended with a ceremony showing America’s votes for the couples they believed to have the most potential.

Trina and Andre Luis Brunelli were the first to be safe, Kyra and Will were next, Olivia Kaiser and Korey Gandy were the last to be safe. Bailey Marshall and Jeremy Hershberg, Alana and Charlie, and Elly Steffan and K-Ci Maultsby fell to the bottom and were in danger of getting voted out. The fellow islanders saved Bailey and Jeremy, then Alana and Charlie, meaning Ellie and K-Ci were sent home.

These votes show America is now rooting for Trina despite her not really being romantically involved with Andre. This isn’t surprising, given she’s one of the last original stars on the show. She had her share of heartbreaking given Cinco left her for Cash, and she hasn’t made any new connections since then.

The same episode also showed Kyra and Will going on a date. Before that, the other islanders asked them if they’ll become boyfriend and girlfriend. Kyra said if Will asked her, she’d say yes. But Will talked about wanting to wait before taking that step.

“In so many ways, we never rush our relationship or anything. We always been our pace and our history and creating our own history,” he told her. Will said they’d have to keep exploring to “get that point.” Will said he was falling for Kyra and told her not to be scared.

Kyra told the other women that they’re both ready to try a relationship after the show. But they feel no need to put a label on their relationship. “We’re both on the same page about not needing to define like boyfriend/girlfriend. If we’re acting like it, that’s all that matters to me,” Kyra said.

Many fans turned on Will after he kissed Florence Mueller during the Casa Amor twist. Kyra quickly forgave him for it, but the couple later was in danger of going home with America’s votes. So it’s highly unlikely they’ll take the money this season. After the most recent episode, it looks like Trina still has a chance.
