Matt Roloff and Caryn Chandler are staples on Little People, Big World. And it seems the couple is in it for the long haul. Matt’s ex-wife, Amy Roloff, is engaged to Chris Marek — and it has many wondering if Matt and Caryn will follow Amy’s lead.

In Season 21 Episode 5 of LPBW, Matt started to ask Caryn about marriage. And it seems she didn’t really answer Matt when briefly asked about tying the knot. Here’s what happened.

Caryn Chandler from ‘Little People, Big World’ told Matt Roloff she likes their slow-moving romance

Matt and Caryn have been dating for over three years, and Matt’s known Caryn for years prior to their romance thanks to her previous job on Roloff Farms. While they seem to have a genuine and lasting connection, they’ve chosen to move slowly with their relationship. And they talked about it on the show.

The couple started talking about the time they spend together in their place in Surprise, Arizona. While Caryn enjoys living with Matt periodically in the warmer state, she made it clear she has no intention of moving on to Roloff Farms permanently.

“I love the farm. I’ve always loved the farm,” Caryn explained. “But it’s Matt’s farm and Amy’s farm, and so I think the fact that Arizona’s really our house and we decorate it together … that’s enough for us for now. That feels good.”

Then, to Matt, Caryn stated, “I still think it’s very healthy that we have chosen to have our relationship move at a snail’s pace.”

Matt asked Caryn about marriage — and Caryn didn’t answer

Matt agreed with Caryn that he likes the slow-moving aspect of their relationship, as they’ve really gotten to know each other over the years. But he then brought up marriage.

“You still haven’t ruled out the idea of getting married one day, have you?” Matt asked.

From there, Matt and Caryn laughed together. But Caryn didn’t give Matt much of an answer.

“I kind of feel, in some ways, that we are married,” Caryn stated. “We’re completely committed to each other.”

“We’re building a life together, I mean, I agree,” Matt added.

Caryn then added that she’s not “planning on going anywhere” as long as that’s what Matt wants. And it’s clear Matt sees a future with Caryn, as he gave her a knowing smile and a kiss.

This certainly isn’t the first time the topic of marriage has come up for Matt and Caryn. Amy and her fiancé, Chris Marek, planned on having a wedding in 2020. But due to the pandemic, Amy’s putting her wedding plans off. And this might delay a possible engagement for Matt and Caryn as well, as Matt stated he wanted to wait for Amy to have her big moment with Chris before making any plans for a wedding with Caryn.

“We don’t want to step on Amy and Chris’s excitement — but you never know what might happen next!” Matt told an Instagram follower who asked about him and Caryn. “For now @carynchandler1 and I are living a very happy and our very best life together… enjoying our kids and my grandkids. A wonderful season of life!”

There’s plenty of time for Amy and Chris to have their wedding in the future. And, of course, there’s even more time for Matt and Caryn to walk down the aisle and say, “I do.” We’re looking forward to hearing more about Matt and Caryn’s plans even if Caryn may have dodged the question a bit on the show.
