Little People, Big World viewers are quite familiar with Jacob Roloff. The youngest of Matt and Amy Roloff’s kids aggressively left the show behind as soon as he was able, and he wrote a scathing letter to Instagram regarding his decision. Since then, he’s stayed off-camera and has been traveling with his wife, Isabel Rock. And the two look extremely happy keeping their lives away from reality TV cameras.

Rock shares her art, her writing, and her relationship via her Instagram. And she recently got super candid with her followers about the loss of her brother and mother. Here’s what she said about not feeling OK.

Jacob Roloff’s wife, Isabel Rock, lost her mother and brother

Fans may not know too much about Rock, as she hasn’t been featured on LPBW. But she’s shared a fair amount of her personal life with her fans via Instagram. And she’s written quite a few posts dedicated to her mother who died in 2014 from breast cancer.

“Captioning this photo ‘I miss my mom’ is a bit too obvious and repetitive to all of the posts I’ve ever written about her,” Rock captioned an Instagram post of her and her mother in 2017. “She was my best friend. I know everybody says that about their mom but I mean we did everything together. Friends would ask me to hangout and almost always I would’ve rather hung out with her.” And Rock continued on with the post explaining how she’d tell her mother she wanted her to be around long enough to see Rock’s book written and dream house built.

Aside from Rock’s mom, she also lost her older brother within the same year. In Touch Weekly notes she wrote about how she believed both her mother and brother’s spirits were there on her wedding day.

“If there is one thing I know about loss and death it is that it is not the end,” Rock wrote. “I have held strong to the faith that I will see my loved ones again.”

Rock wrote about the profound loss on her Instagram

On July 1, Rock wrote about losing her brother and mother once again, as it still greatly affects her. She added a photo of her hugging her older brother along with a caption about her current state of mind.

“I am good at pretending,” Rock started in her Instagram post. “Pretending I am okay when I am not. Currently, I am not. And only a few people in my life right now know how deeply I am not.”

She then went on to explain how the loss of her brother and mother still affects her. “No longer can I pretend that losing my brother and then my mom within a year of each other has not affected my mental health greatly,” she added. “Now, I am paying for it in a major way. My anxiety keeps me from trusting anyone, or living much of a normal life. My depression keeps me from seeing that I deserve joy, and peace.”

Her followers are showing their support

Within the post, Rock noted that she’s taking steps to get help for herself. “I have finally made the steps to see a therapist, after all this time, to let down those walls and finally admit to somebody, ‘I am not okay,'” she wrote. And her fans are showing their support.

“Thinking of you,” a friend of Rock’s wrote. “You have been through so much and making that step to talk to someone is huge. You needed to do it when it was right for you. I am proud of you.”

To that, Rock responded, “Having you to talk to was profoundly important for me during high school. I am eternally grateful for you and who you were for me then, and the special place in my heart you will always hold.”

Rock then posted a sweet message to her Instagram Story thanking her followers for their support. “I am absolutely blown away at the comments and messages I’m receiving,” she wrote. “You are all so kind and brave for sharing your stories with me.”

While times may be difficult for Rock currently, we know she can navigate the choppy waters with Jacob by her side.
