So, what’s the deal with Roloff Farms on Little People, Big World? Matt and Amy Roloff resided on the farm together for 30 years, and last season, fans saw Amy struggle with her decision to sell her half. She and Matt divorced years ago, and Amy’s moving forward with a new engagement to Chris Marek, her partner of several years. With so many changes, Amy got nostalgic for what the farm property once meant to her and her family.

“The big reason I want to get this done is for the family to have some closure,” Matt said on the show. “And I think Amy agrees with that.”

Matt’s girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, tried to keep Matt realistic with his expectations, though. It’s clear Matt and Amy moved at difference paces. ““I try to help Matt table his expectations with Amy because she’s not gonna change,” Caryn added.

Eventually, Amy decided to sell her half of the property. According to documents, she sold her half to Matt for $667,000, and she sold her ex an additional 32 acres of land for $975,000.

New clip shows Matt telling Amy about his plans for a new house

Now that Amy’s all moved off the farm and into her new place, Matt has big plans for the farm property. It’s no secret he loves to build, and it looks like he has a house project in the works. A new clip from Little People, Big World shows him talking to Amy about it.

The clip shows Matt and Caryn over at Amy and Chris’ place for a housewarming party. The party of four head outside to chat, and Chris asks Matt about the new house.

“Which direction is your new house going to be facing?” Chris asks.

“The front will be facing to the east, and the back will be facing to the west,” Matt answers. He then explains he’s hoping to pour foundation for the new house in the spring. Considering when the season was filmed, it’s likely Matt means spring 2021.

“I can’t decide on the design,” Matt noted. “I just want all those ideas.”

Amy then said she wasn’t surprised at all to hear Matt was having trouble making decisions. “The architects aren’t going to like you,” she joked.
