‘LPBW’: Zach Roloff and Jacob Roloff Used to Get Into Aggressive Physical Fights on the Show
Those who follow Little People, Big World know plenty about the Roloff family. Matt and Amy Roloff are the stars of the show, and they brought their four children into the spotlight in the past. Now, it’s just Zach Roloff and his wife, Tori, who remain TV regulars.
In the past, we can’t forget that Zach used to get into physical altercations with his younger brother, Jacob. Here’s what happened.
Jacob Roloff was the black sheep of the family on ‘Little People, Big World’
While Zach, Matt, and Amy carry the current storylines on LPBW, that wasn’t always the case. Jeremy, Molly, and Jacob — Matt and Amy’s other three children — also used to play major roles in the show. But they’ve all since left reality TV behind. And it’s Jacob who made the biggest splash when he left.
Jeremy and Molly left LPBW behind quietly, but Jacob took to his Instagram to tell fans exactly why he was leaving the show and never coming back.
“I get comments on here all the time about how people ‘miss me on the show’ or telling me I should ‘do a few more episodes’ with the family; I’m posting this to say that that will never happen,” he wrote back in 2016. “… All in all I appreciate people wanting me to ‘be with the family’ for a few more episodes, but the family that is filmed is not my family. They are the Roloff Characters and I have scarcely anything in common with them, nor do I want to be a character myself.”
Zach Roloff and Jacob got into fights on the show
Zach and Jacob are both well into adulthood now. But when they were just teens, it seems they didn’t always get along. Since Jacob was the youngest, it’s clear he may have annoyed his older brothers. And this resulted in physical altercations.
Back in 2008, the LPBW production crew caught a moment between Zach and Jacob while Amy was working. “There’s bound to be some cabin fever, there’s bound to be some frustration,” Amy told the cameras. And the camera then cut to Jacob hitting Jeremy with a pillow.
“Jacob’s somebody that pushes a little too far when he tries to hang out with us,” Zach said. “I’m like, ‘Jacob, stop. I will hurt you if you do that again.'” When Jacob failed to stop hitting Jeremy with a pillow, Zach pushed his younger brother against a wall. This resulted in a longer scuffle between the brothers that took Amy a few minutes to notice.
Finally, Amy broke up the fight. And she ended up scolding Jacob for annoying Zach and Jeremy.
Jacob seems to have bigger issues with Jeremy Roloff now
While Jacob and Zach were the ones who got into it in the clip from over a decade ago, Jacob seems to have more problems with Jeremy now. Jacob’s made it clear he’s against Donald Trump’s administration, as he’s condemned the president and his ideas on social media. It seems Jeremy has differing views, though — and it’s causing tension.
“Mannnnnnny many people message me re: my brother and his posts,” Jacob posted to his Instagram story in September 2020. “I (try to) speak to him often, and especially when it is overt disinformation. Like today. I wish it wasn’t so! But it is.” Jacob then told his followers to “maybe” not follow Jeremy “right now.”
It doesn’t look like Jeremy’s commented back to Jacob after Jacob’s post. But it’s clear the brothers may never see eye to eye. Either way, we’re glad the physical altercations seem to be over for the Roloffs.
