Those who’ve kept up with Little People, Big World know all about the saga of Roloff Farms. Matt and Amy Roloff once lived on the farm property together, but now that they’re divorced, it’s just Matt on the farm now. And he’s been contemplating with girlfriend Caryn Chandler what he should do with the land.

It seems Matt would love for one of his four kids to take over Roloff Farms. But Zach Roloff doesn’t seem too interested given what we’ve seen in the trailer for the new season. Here’s what we learned.

Roloff Farms is currently going through difficulties due to the coronavirus

Roloff Farms thrives off of pumpkin season in October, as it’s when fans from all over can come to visit the farm. Unfortunately, the farm was hit hard by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. And Matt has talked to his Instagram followers about where the farm stands now.

“We are in daily dissertation meetings about that and what would it look … and really, really scratching our heads to figure out how would that work,” Matt explained via Instagram regarding a new plan for Roloff Farms. “We’re coming up with all kinds of alternative plans. It all comes up very expensive.”

Matt then added that during an ideal year, families can come to the farm without an entrance fee, but that may have to change. “So we probably at a minimum have to go to a system where we would charge people to come in just to justify the amount of employees we’d have for cleaning,” he added.

Matt Roloff from ‘Little People, Big World’ talked about selling the farm to his sons

Not only is Roloff Farms in trouble due to coronavirus, but Matt may not even be the owner of the farm for much longer. While he adores the property, it’s getting to be a lot to take care of. And fans think there’s a solid chance he’ll try to sell it to either of his twin sons, Jeremy and Zach.

“The ultimate scenario for me is that the twins would take over the farm and work together … but nobody likes to run that pumpkin patch like I do,” Matt told Instagram.

While Zach hasn’t mentioned his desire to own the farm via Instagram, Jeremy seems ready to take on a project like Roloff Farms. “Growing up on a farm the passion for land has never left me,” Jeremy explained via Instagram. “Auj and I have been working very hard to be able to acquire one someday and visiting the Mona farm was a big encouragement in our efforts.” And he also mentioned on another post that he thinks taking over Roloff Farms is “totally” an “option.”

It looks like Jeremy’s ready for the farm. But in a sneak peek for the next season of LPBW, Zach doesn’t look quite so sure.

He first mentions to the camera that he thinks Amy moving off of the property is for the best. “Health-wise, it’s in her best interest to move off,” Zach states. “You know, two different people are living on it that don’t really get along.

In another clip, Zach’s wife, Tori, asks Zach, “Are you buying the farm?”

“I would just buy my mom out,” Zach stated. “I would not buy my mom and my dad out.”

“That just stresses me out,” Tori added.

So, will Matt really make a move to start retiring from life on the farm? We’ll have to wait and see what happens to Roloff Farms in the new season of LPBW.
