Machine Gun Kelly Dressed Like ‘F**King Lisa Rinna’ and Conor McGregor Attacked Him at the VMAs ‘Because His Music Sucks’, Michael Rapaport Jokes

Michael Rapaport got a little salty over Machine Gun Kelly's fashion choices and why he thinks MMA fighter Conor McGregor attacked him on the red carpet at the VMAs. He compared Kelly's outfits to something Lisa Rinna from 'RHOBH' might wear.

Machine Gun Kelly showed up at the MTV Video Music Awards channeling his inner Lisa Rinna from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and MMA fighter Conor McGregor attacked him because “his music sucks,” snarked comedian Michael Rapaport.

Feeling a little salty over his lost Met Gala invite, Rapaport dragged Kelly’s fashion choices but also offered his comedic theory as to why McGregor attacked Kelly on the red carpet at the award show.

“I’m offended that Machine Gun Kelly is gonna show up [at the Met Gala] looking like a Real Housewife of Nowhere and I can’t get a f**king invite yet again!” he exclaimed on the Berning in Hell podcast. “Straight up Lisa Rinna.”

Podcast host Hannah Berner observed that Kelly rocked a Lisa Rinna “reunion look” at the VMAs. Rapaport went further with the observation. “I would like to debate you because his outfit at the VMAs wasn’t like a Lisa Rinna reunion costume,” Rapaport said. “It was more like a Lisa Rinna tea party outfit.”

“It’s like a suit,” he added. “But I swear I thought the same thing. He’s dressed like f**king Lisa Rinna at the VMAs. And that’s fine. Listen the guy’s got beautiful blue eyes. Handsome. I think why Conor McGregor attacked him. Now I saw a statement online. I don’t know if it’s a real statement. But I believe and I’ve been very hard on the fighter Conor McGregor.”

“I feel like the reason Conor McGregor attacked Machine Gun Kelly the other day at the VMAs, there wasn’t any beef,” Rapaport said. “I think he attacked him simply because his music sucks. That’s what I think.”

“The lack of anything,” he said. “The lack of originality.” He added, “Lack of soulfulness. Lack of depth. And I’m not saying Conor McGregor is a person with a lot of depth. I’ve been very hard on Conor McGregor. But in this case, if it is true he attacked him because of the music sucking. And the fact that he dresses like a Housewife, I have to say, I’m glad it didn’t turn into a physical altercation.”

“But I’m glad he made a statement saying, ‘We’re not accepting these outfits,'” Rapaport joked. “Like cut the sh*t. You’re not Tommy Lee. This isn’t Pamela Anderson. Tommy Lee can play the f**king drums. You chose to learn to play guitar. My cousin who is 13 does the same chords.” Concluding, “That’s why I think the altercation happened.”

Jake Paul thinks perhaps McGregor mistook Kelly for him. “Some people are saying that Conor McGregor mistook him for me because we look the same, like blonde hair, little bit tall,” he told ESPN. “That was like the rumor that happened, I think it’s hilarious. Conor McGregor is a real fighter, why is he on a celebrity red carpet throwing drinks at Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly? It’s just disrespectful. But Kells handled himself like a professional, he didn’t get hot, he didn’t retaliate because I think he knows that Conor just looked like an idiot. This guy is falling apart and trying to find any reason to get attention.”

McGregor later said he had no issue with Kelly but didn’t offer context as to why he lunged at him on the red carpet. “(There’s) no beef,” he remarked in an Adams Apple video. “I don’t even know the guy. I don’t even know him. Who is he? You’re telling me he’s been at the fights. Megan has been at the fights (for) years. Megan has been at the fights (for) years. I know Megan. I don’t know the guy. There’s no problem. Come to the fights. There’s no problem.”
