Prime Video’s fashion design competition series Making the Cut is returning for its third season. New episodes of the reality series, which is hosted by Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum, drop August 19. 

‘Making the Cut’ Season 3 premieres August 19

Making the Cut Season 3 premieres Friday, August 19 on Prime Video. Two new episodes will release weekly through September 19. 

Gunn and Klum – who previously hosted Project Runway – return as hosts for the show’s third outing, which sees 10 designers competing for a $1 million investment in their business and a mentorship with Amazon Fashion. The winner also gets the chance to create an exclusive co-brand with Amazon Fashion and launch their existing brands in the Amazon Fashion store. Viewers will also be able to shop limited editions of each episode’s winning works in Amazon Fashion’s Making the Cut store. 

10 designers compete on this season of ‘Making the Cut’

Ten designers from around the world will compete on this season of Making the Cut. 

  • Ciara Chyanne Morgan, a self-taught designer who has her own brand, Ciara Chyanne, that focuses on contemporary, elevated ready-to-wear.
  • Curtis Cassell, the founder of the nonbinary label Queera.
  • Emily Bargeron, a designer from Savannah, Georgia, who has a label, Mamie Ruth, and a vintage boutique, East + Up.
  • Gabriella Meyer, an LA-based artist who uses recycled materials and novel denim techniques in her brand DENIMCRATIC.
  • Georgia Hardinge, a designer from London whose clothes have been worn by stars such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Alicia Keys.
  • Jeanette Limas, who was born in the Dominican Republic and has her own namesake brand.
  • Markantoine Lynch-Boisvert, the Canadian designer behind the skatewear brand MRKNTN.
  • Rafael Chaouiche, a Brazilian designer whose brand, Chaouiche, is inspired by strong women. 
  • Sienna Li, a Chinese-born designer now based in New York whose work has been featured in Vogue Italia, Harper’s Bazaar, and L’OFFICIEL.
  • Yannik Zamboni, a Swiss designer who founded his brand, maison blanche, in 2020.
