NBC abruptly canceled their drama series, ‘Manifest’

Ben is meant to save the passengers, whether it be from a hate group or from hate within themselves. Fans first met the Manifest characters in 2018 when the drama series premiered on the television network, NBC.

Fans learned about the mysterious Flight 828 and its disappearance and reappearance over five years later. Years later, the show became available for streaming on Netflix, even though NBC canceled this series before it could premiere its fourth season.

Some fans speculated a movie-like final episode would summarize the end of this series. However, since its debut on Netflix, the drama became one of the most popular television shows on the streaming platform.

Netflix renewed ‘Manifest’ for its fourth and final season

After months of anticipation, fans will finally learn what happened to characters like Cal Stone and Captain Daly. Netflix announced on 828 Day that it would create a fourth and final season of Manifest.

“What started years ago as a flight of fancy deep in my imagination has evolved into the jet engine journey of a lifetime. Never in my wildest dreams could I have envisioned the worldwide outpouring of love and support for this story, its characters, and the team who work so hard to bring it all to life,” series creator Jeff Rake said in a statement accompanying Netflix’s announcement.

Because this will be a Netflix original season, these episodes will, presumably, not be available on the television network, NBC. However, NBC has not commented on the switch this series made.

How to watch new episodes of ‘Manifest’

Although some episodes of Manifest broadcast on live television, season 4 will presumably only be available on the streaming platform, Netflix. That is because this season will be created and produced by that subscription service.

There’s no word regarding whether this season will be available for purchase on DVD and Blu-Ray, however, some Netflix originals are available physically at retailers like Target. (That includes the Sci-Fi series, Stranger Things.)

Most cast members are expected to return for these new episodes. That includes Josh Dallas, who acted as the main character of this series — Ben Stone. Not much is known about the story, although fans hope these new episodes will answer some major questions.

What will happen with characters like Cal Stone and will Michaela still be in her love triangle? Presumably, more information regarding this fourth season will be announced in the coming months. Until then, seasons 1-3 of Manifest are available for streaming on Netflix and the rival streaming platform, Hulu.
