Married at First Sight fans want Chris to get a do-over. The experts matched the season 14 groom with Alyssa, but it looks like their pickers were off. She wasn’t impressed when she met her husband at the altar, and it seems she’s already checked out of the process, even though she’s barely had a chance to get to know Chris.

Alyssa’s refusal to engage with Chris has turned off many viewers, who think the 35-year-old real estate agent deserves better than the 30-year-old social media marketing manager the experts paired him with.

Alyssa tells Chris they’re ‘not compatible’ on ‘Married at First Sight’

Both Alyssa and Chris had high hopes that the Married at First Sight experts would find them the perfect spouse. But it became apparent soon after the wedding that the two weren’t well-matched. While Chris liked his wife – at least at first – she seemed turned off by both his looks and his personality.

Things didn’t get better on the honeymoon. On their first day in Puerto Rico, the couple had a fight, with Chris accusing Alyssa of being “tapped out” of their marriage – which was not even a day old at that point.

Alyssa, who felt Chris was disrespecting her, reacted with anger and frustration.

“This situation isn’t fun and it’s not good,” she said. “Dude. We’re not compatible.”

After failing to get his new wife to give him a chance, Chris left to sleep in another room. He denied being disrespectful and said he felt like Alyssa was gaslighting him.

Fans think Chris deserves a new match

Alyssa’s behavior in the first few episodes of Married at First Sight Season 14 rubbed many fans the wrong way. She continued to irk viewers during an appearance on Married at First Sight: Afterparty. When host Keshia Knight Pulliam pressed Alyssa to give a specific reason why she wasn’t willing to get to know Chris, she struggled to come up with an answer.

Alyssa said a past toxic relationship meant comments from his friends that he could be condescending were a major red flag. But she didn’t answer when Pulliam asked why she didn’t explain that to Chris – or try to find out for herself if his friends were telling the truth. And when the Cosby Show alum bluntly asked Alyssa why she went on the show if she wasn’t willing to be open to the process, she walked off the set.

By that point, fans had had enough of Alyssa’s antics.

“They should rematch Chris [because] Alyssa is going to destroy him. She doesn’t deserve to be on the show,” one person commented on a Married at First Sight Instagram post.

“Chris deserves a REDO !!! Get Alyssa off this show she robbed him from a true experience and chance,” another wrote.

A few thought Alyssa and Chris had been set up to fail.

“I’m starting to feel like every season there will be one couple that doesn’t get what they want on purpose… for ‘good’ TV,” one observed.

After Alyssa’s Afterparty exit, Pulliam turned to her other guests for comments. Season 14 groom Olajuwon voiced what many fans were thinking – that Alyssa felt Chris wasn’t good-looking enough for her, and that her concerns about his “condescending” behavior were just a smokescreen to mask that she didn’t find him physically attractive

“Straight up, this is all bullsh*t,” Olajuwon said. “I think she got married, she wasn’t attracted to him. The fact that you had his friends, his corny-*ss friends, come over and say some corny sh*t to you, you indulged in it because it was a leeway to get out.”

New episodes of Married at First Sight Season 14 air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
