Miles Williams and Karen Landry-Williams were a somewhat controversial couple on Lifetime’s Married at First Sight season 11 in New Orleans. While Karen and Miles seemed perfectly matched at first, many fans wondered why Karen was so reticent to become intimate or affectionate with her husband in any way.

Over the four-month season (which was extended by two months due to COVID-19), Miles and Karen made slow, gradual progress in growing their emotional connection. But they didn’t take any more steps physically, and Miles became frustrated with his wife’s apparent lack of interest.

Still, the Married at First Sight couple decided to stay together on Decision Day. Since then, their relationship has seemed to thrive – at least by the looks of social media. Both Karen and Miles have taken to Instagram to share romantic odes to one another since the season wrapped.

What’s more, the couple recently launched a YouTube channel of their own, where they promise they will answer all of the fans’ burning questions about the behind-the-scenes reality of Married at First Sight.

Miles wrote that he and Karen now had a ‘strong foundation’ for their marriage

When Miles and Karen decided to stay married on Decision Day, many Married at First Sight fans were skeptical about their future. Some viewers worried that Karen wasn’t truly in love with her husband – especially because she’d often questioned whether he could be the “alpha male” she really needed in her life.

But after the season wrapped, Miles took to Instagram to share a tribute to his wife. He hinted that, especially amid the COVID-19 crisis, he and his wife had supported each other through much more than the world was able to find out through a TV show.

In an open letter to Karen, Miles wrote poignantly, “The world will never know all that we have been through, and I kinda like it better that way. We know what we have, and I am excited for the world to see the person I have gotten to know and care about since day one.”

Gushing that he was “so proud” of his wife and reflecting on their rollercoaster “journey” together, Miles added, “We leaned on each other through a WILD experiment, a pandemic, and being silent while watching the world react to what they’ve seen.”

He ended his letter by praising Karen for showing so much “strength, courage, and love” and “building a strong foundation for their marriage” despite all the criticism from fans along the way.

Karen thanked Miles for ‘sharing his full self’ with her

Miles wasn’t alone in sharing some sweet words about his spouse after their Married at First Sight season came to a close. Sharing sweet snapshots of herself with her husband, Karen praised him for his strength and support.

In the romantic Instagram post, Karen gushed about the “depth, laughs, balance, respect, partnership, and appreciation” she and Miles shared. The Married at First Sight star alluded to the difficulties they’d been through in their young marriage, as well as everything they’d done to work through them together.

“Thank you for always hearing and seeing me even when it was hard,” Karen wrote in an open letter to Miles. “Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for sharing your full self and for allowing me to share my full self too. Thank you for being the man that you are.”

The couple launched their own YouTube channel

After Married at First Sight season 11 ended, fan-favorite couple Woody Randall and Amani Aliyya Randall opened up their social media accounts to celebrate their love in front of an adoring fan base.

Karen and Miles followed in their castmates’ (and close friends’) footsteps by launching their own joint YouTube channel on Nov. 18. In just a week, they garnered over 26,000 subscribers, so it’s clear that there are plenty of fans who are eager to hear more about their story.

In an introductory video, Karen and Miles said they planned to create a variety of content for their fans. Karen hoped to share cooking-related videos, while Miles wanted to discuss some of his favorite issues, like sports and mental health.

But, of course, the couple planned to feature their relationship prominently as well. They asked Married at First Sight fans to share all of their burning questions in the comments, so they could share the juicy behind-the-scenes details of what it was like to appear on the show.

“I’m excited to answer these questions,” Miles said, hinting that he hoped to dispel any misconceptions fans might have about the couple, both in terms of themselves as individuals and as a pair. “I’m ready to set some stuff straight.”

“Me too,” Karen agreed. “I’ve been waiting!”

Still, both Miles and Karen thanked fans for their “overwhelming” support and kindness over the past months.

“I think that people like to harp on the negative, but there’s been so much positive,” Miles said, “and because of that, we’re able to continue to grow and flourish and be happy.”
