Hannah Wissmann said yes to former Counting On star Jeremiah Duggar‘s proposal just three months after the couple announced their courtship. The couple shared the news of their engagement on Jan. 6, telling their fans they “can’t wait” to tie the knot. Here’s everything we know about Duggar’s “social butterfly” bride-to-be.

Jeremiah Duggar and Hannah Wissmann announced their courtship in October

When Duggar announced in October 2021 that he was officially courting Wissmann, he told his followers on Instagram that he’s “never been so happy” and “never felt so blessed.”

The young couple posted photos of themselves posing by the water outside of a beautiful brick home. And they said getting to know each other had been one of the greatest joys of their respective lives.

“We are excited to start sharing our story with all of you and to see what God has in store for our future,” Duggar wrote.

He also surprisingly added the hashtag #mygirlfriend, which is something new for the Duggars. Because they have courtships, the family doesn’t usually use the terms “girlfriend” and “boyfriend.”

She is ‘the best thing’ to happen to Jeremiah Duggar

Jeremiah Duggar announced via Instagram that he was engaged to Hannah Wissmann during the first week of January — less than three months after announcing his courtship.

“She said YES!!!! Hannah, getting to know you for the past year has been so incredible! I can’t even find the words to describe it,” the 19 Kids and Counting alum wrote on Instagram. “You are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I cannot wait to marry you. I love you!!”

On her Instagram page, Wissmann wrote: “YES!!!! A thousand times, yes!!! Making memories with you is my favorite and I cannot wait to spend a lifetime making more. You are an answer to prayer, a dream come true, the love of my life and my very best friend. I love you, Jeremiah!”

Hannah Wissmann is a ‘Nebraska girl’ with a surprising occupation

Wissmann comes from a large, conservative family that has a lot in common with the Duggar family. Her parents are Loren and Gloria Wissmann. And her 12 siblings include Stephen Wissmann, who was rumored to have been courting Jana Duggar last year. Hannah also has a few brothers and sisters-in-law and 19 nieces and nephews.

Hannah Wissmann is 26 years old and a self-proclaimed “Nebraska girl” in her Instagram bio. She’s part of the family band, where she serves as the lead vocalist and fiddle player. The professional music group travels around the country performing at different churches and events.

Jeremiah Duggar’s bride-to-be is a ‘social butterfly’

On the Wissmann family website, Hannah Wissmann is described as a talented and creative young woman who has a variety of interests.

“Our energetic, social butterfly, Hannah is a skilled and creative young woman. She loves spending time in the kitchen — trying new recipes and creating culinary masterpieces,” her bio reads. “Our home also greatly benefits from her interest in interior design and seasonal decor. She is one of our lead vocalists and skillfully adds her fiddle to our musical selections.”

Hannah Wissmann gushed about Jeremiah Duggar on Instagram just days before the proposal

Just a few days before Duggar proposed, Wissmann took to social media to celebrate her man’s birthday. On her Instagram Stories, she shared a sentimental post that featured a shared selfie they took together. And she referred to Duggar as “the sweetest boyfriend.”

“Whether it’s having a fuzzy blanket on hand just in case I get cold, spoiling me with flowers, pizza and coffee, asking me how I’m feeling or what I’m thinking, encouraging me in whatever project I’m doing, reading the Bible together, praying with me, or the way you simply smile at me, you show me that you care in a million ways every single day and I am so grateful to be your girl!” Wissmann wrote.
