Megan Thee Stallion is one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry right now. However, being a mega-talented rapper was not her only goal. Megan has also been adamant about earning her college degree.

Where does Megan Thee Stallion go to college?
Prior to skyrocketing to fame as one of the biggest rappers in the music industry, Megan was a full-time student at Texas Southern University where she was studying to get her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration. She transfered to the university from Prairie View A&M. She has talked openly about wanting to open an assisted living facility in her hometown.
This has been a passion project for Megan after losing her own mother to brain cancer in 2019. However, with the fame and the hectic schedule that came with her mega success, Megan has had to shuffle some things around. For the past couple of years, she’s taking a part-time course load, but that has not taken her off the path to getting her degree.
When her 2.7 GPA was revealed, trolls tried to disparage her, but Megan was not deterred. “I wanna be better and I wanna do better,” she explained on The Breakfast Club. “But I’m trying.” Megan explained that she wants to maintain at least a 3.0 GPA.

Megan does not have a degree just yet. However, if all goes according to plan, she will graduate in the Fall of 2021 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration from Texas Southern University. Despite the tough years she’s had. the 26-year-old has been in a celebratory mood.
“I’m healthy, I can take care of myself, my friends & family love me , my boo love me (he mad at me rn but he still love me),” she tweeted. “shiddd Beyoncé love me, I’m just happy and blessed lol”
In 2019, the rapper spoke about why getting her degree was so important. “My grandmother was a teacher, and I started when my mom was alive and I feel like I definitely got to see it through,” she told HollywoodLife. “But it’s for me to, school and my music were, like I said, both of my Plan As. So I’ve got to see it through.”

The “Hot Girl Summer” rapper is still very much an active student. In fact, when a troll tried to drag her about leaving college in the background, Megan clapped back with some real facts.

She told People, “I really wanted to be an administrator over a hospital, but I knew I still wanted to be Megan Thee Stallion. I was like, ‘What can I do?’ I was like, ‘You know what, I’m gonna open an assisted-living facility and use the money that I make from rapping to open it. Then I’m gonna let my classmates run it.”
Though it’s taken Megan slightly longer than an average college student, it’s beyond impressive that the Houston native has been able to have such a successful career while pursuing her college degree. With everything that has happened in her personal life in the last year, it’s amazing to see that she’s still on track to reach her goals.
