Meri Brown from Sister Wives is used to people judging her. From her controversial plural marriage to Kody Brown to her job selling LuLaRoe clothing, people don’t hesitate to share their opinions on her life choices. Usually, she takes the high road and doesn’t weigh in when people slam her on social media, but the other day, she took to Instagram to defend herself.

Meri Brown says, ‘I like me’

In the post, Brown admitted that she knows that “Not everyone likes me.” But the fact that a few people have negative things to say doesn’t bother her, she said.

“That’s ok, I like me,” the 48-year-old wrote. She went on to highlight the many things that people criticize about her, from her choice of footwear to her fashion sense to her dark front tooth.

“People will criticize my shoes. That’s ok, I have foot issues and need to be careful what kind of shoes I wear to not cause too much pain … People talk trash about my dark front tooth, that’s fine, I had fun as kid and fell and it killed it, but it didn’t kill me,” she wrote. Brown also defended her clothing choices, noting that “I’m the one wearing this and I feel confident.”

Brown also defended the choices she’s made regarding her career and business. Recently, some have slammed her business selling LuLaRoe clothing, calling the company a “pyramid scheme.”

“People love to talk trash about my business choices, that’s ok, they don’t realize the truth because they just ‘google’ their information,” Brown wrote.

“The fact of the matter is, I’m living MY life for ME, and I’m happy with it. I’m confident in my choices. I’m happy with what I’m doing. And that’s all that matters,” she concluded.

Meri Brown’s fans are thrilled she’s happy

Brown’s candid post telling haters to back off made a lot of her followers smile.

“Girl, you are freaking fabulous and I love you for YOU!” commented one.

“You look beautiful and happy and that’s all that matters! Love yourself and who cares about anyone else,” wrote another.

“We love ya!! People are jerks and have too much time on their hands. Rock on with you bad self sister. You do you,” another supportive follower chimed in.

While most of the comments on the post were positive, a few people still had negative things to say. One person called the outfit Brown was wearing “hideous” and saying it “has got to go … If I were you I would never ever wear this together again.” The outfit in question was a yellow-striped top with a purple, floral patterned skirt.

Based on what Brown wrote, we’re going to guess that she’s going to ignore that person’s mean-spirited advice. But maybe that commenter will take inspiration from another one of Brown’s fashion choices — a T-shirt emblazoned with the words “Just Be Nice.”
