Comedian Michael Rapaport suddenly appeared in one of satirist George Hahn’s signature “Fer Me” videos and Hahn looked legitimately surprised and delighted.

Hahn often films social media musings about politics or the rash of obnoxious helicopters polluting the Manhattan skies. Hahn has a series of videos (and even clothing) reflective of the self-centered and selfish choices some people made during the pandemic. Declaring that “fer mee” they weren’t going to take the vaccine, wear a mask, or make any behavior changes for the wellbeing of others.

Hahn was about to launch into one of his funny rants while strolling through Central Park, when Rapaport popped into the frame, leaving Hahn in stitches.

‘Fer mee’ Michael Rapaport cracks up George Hahn

Hahn gazes toward the sky and launches into one of his funny remarks about helicopters. “So cruising along in Central Park, there are no helicopters – for now!” he observes in a video. And then – boom, Rapaport jumps into the frame.

“But fer mee, I don’t mind when there’s a helicopter,” Rapaport says as Hahn bursts into laughter. “Fer mee, every now and then a helicopter up there in the sky feels relaxing, fer mee, George.”

Still laughing, Hahn says, “Thank you, Michael. Thank you, Michael. Look at us!” Rapaport says they finally met in the park and no one is screaming. But Hahn said it was a beautiful day and there wasn’t anything to “scream” about.

Hahn later said meeting up with Rapaport brought him so much joy. “So hilariously, I just ran into Rapaport over by the great lawn,” Hahn says in another video. “So good, check out my meet with Michael Rapaport. We just literally tease every once in a while like, ‘Dude, I’m going to run into you one of these days in the park. I’m going to see you one of these days in the park’ and then boom today.”

Meeting up with Rapaport couldn’t have come at a better time for Hahn. Hahn has shared on social media that he’s had health concerns and was undergoing stress tests to rule out cardiac issues.

“This morning, it happened just now,” he remarked. “And I have to say against the backdrop of some of my health concerns lately with these panic attacks. And, you know, my second stress test this week and the nuclear one I did yesterday, which was stressful in itself. And then I had like a little mini panic attack when I went to see The Music Man. So it was like this stress test Monday. Music Man on Wednesday matinee lovely, but had a little panic attack, a mini one. But I was able to sort of close my eyes a little bit and breathe through it.”

The ‘power of Michael Rapaport’

He observed that the anxiety or stress melted away when he ran into Rapaport. “And then the big stress test yesterday, and then I was feeling a little like [eh] today, right?” he said. And then, “I ran into Michael. I saw Michael as I’m walking around the great lawn with the dogs. It was just like, it was, ‘Oh my god. Finally, we meet!'”

“[We] put our arms around each other and I could feel like this weird feeling in my chest and stuff dissipate, and it just kind of went away,” Hahn shared. “That is the power of Michael Rapaport. I feel much better. What a treat, right? It’s so great. So we’re going to get together and have a meal. That was a good time just now.”
