‘Modern Family’: Cam Had a Few Creative Techniques for Keeping Away Lily and Her Head Lice
Not everyone in Lily’s class was super clean. Unfortunately for Mitch and Cam, that meant one day she brought lice home from school. It was even more unfortunate for Claire Dunphy, who gave Lily a ride that day.

Lily caught lice during ‘The Feud’ episode of ‘Modern Family’
Parenting isn’t easy. During the season 5 episode of Modern Family, titled “The Feud,” Lily caught head lice from school. Her father, Cameron Tucker, did whatever it took to keep her physically away.
When Lily walked around the house, he kept a box over her head, so she could pretend to be a robot while keeping her head away. When they had to go in the car, Cam asked her to hang her head out of the window like a dog — fun!
Unfortunately, Claire, who had an important meeting with a client, didn’t get the memo. Mitch’s sister picked Lily up from school and even put her hair on top of Lily’s to take a picture.
Of course, Claire caught Lily’s lice in the process. As a result, Claire spent most of her meeting scratching her head. Mitch eventually met Claire at her meeting to tell her about the lice, but it was too late.
There was another ‘Modern Family’ head lice situation in the Dunphy house
This Lily situation wasn’t the only time there was a head lice problem for this extended family. During the “Aunt Mommy” episode of this sitcom, Luke’s friend Leon came over to reanimate a dead squirrel.
In the process, Phil noticed this character got a haircut. Leon said the reason was because of his lice. Phil quickly wiped the hand that he used to touch Leon’s hair. Later, Luke put on Leon’s lice-infested hat. However, fans didn’t see the aftermath of this interaction.
The family passed around a cold during one season 6 episode of the sitcom ‘Modern Family’
Because this family spent so much time together, they spread around a few unwanted illnesses and ailments. That includes “The Cold,” which supposedly started with Mitch and Cam’s wedding ceremony.
After rewatching the wedding video, Phil Dunphy learned that he started the cold that made its way through the family. Everyone had different symptoms. By the time the sickness got to Claire, she had vertigo, nausea, and other symptoms. Still, she went to work, proving how tough she was to her father.
After over 10 years of releasing new content, this series debuted its final episode on the television network ABC. Modern Family is available for streaming on Hulu, including the episode titled “The Feud.”
