Not much is known about Betty White’s home — but she once gave a glimpse into her California life via YouTube. White helped create a spoof of MTV’s Cribs, and the spoof gave viewers an inside look into one of her homes.

“Oh, hi there — I’m Betty White. Welcome to my crib,” she told the cameras as she opened the front door and allowed them inside. The camera then pans through her dining room and living room before settling on the kitchen.

“This is the kitchen,” White states. “The fridge is fully stocked with energy drinks and gluten-free mac and cheese.” The camera then shows she has a pile of hotdogs in the fridge. “Those are … for the dog,” she joked.

White then shows off her “state-of-the-art aquarium” and “fish collection.” When she gets to her bedroom, she states that’s where the “magic happens.” Then, the camera shows two magicians in her bedroom. “Oh, what did you think I meant?” White joked again.

Betty White reportedly had two homes — one in Los Angeles, and another in Carmel, Monterey County, California. So, how much is Betty White’s house in Carmel worth? A listing from Zillow helps us estimate.

The Zillow listing was for a three-bedroom, four-bathroom, 3,200-square-foot home in the same neighborhood White lived in. “A short stroll to Carmel’s Special Hidden Beach that inspired artists, painters, and locals offers a place to escape,” the listing reads. “The neighborhood is home to movie star Betty White, and is located within the distinguished Carmel School District.”

The home in the listing sold for $1,900,000 in July 2020. Zillow gave the home a current estimated value of $2,463,600. Given how close the home is to White’s home, we imagine White’s Carmel home also has an estimated value of between $2 million and $3 million.

Virtual Globetrotting gave more information on White’s home. The site notes White’s had the house since 1981, and her third husband, Allen Ludden, died just days after the home was finished.
