New Chip and Joanna Gaines content is coming your way. While the Fixer Upper couple’s Magnolia Network won’t launch until 2021, fans can get a preview of what the channel has to offer when Discovery launches its new streaming service, Discovery+, in January 2021. 

‘Fixer Upper: Welcome Home’ and more new shows will be available on Discovery+

Discovery+ launches Jan. 4, 2021, and will feature an extensive library of content from Discovery’s family of networks, including HGTV, Food Network, TLC, and ID. Subscribers will also have access to fresh content from the Gaineses ahead of the rollout of the Magnolia Network later in the year.  

Chip and Joanna fans will be able to watch Fixer Upper: Welcome Home, the new version of the show that kick-started the couple’s Magnolia empire. They can also stream Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines, a cooking series where Joanna shares her favorite recipes while explaining where they come from and why they’ve become her go-to dishes.

Road to Launch will feature the Gaineses chatting with some of the other people who will have shows on the Magnolia Network. Also available to stream will be Courage to Run, a documentary chronicling Chip’s efforts to train for and complete his first marathon. In addition, premiere episodes of 10 upcoming Magnolia Network original series will be available to stream.

Discovery+ will cost $4.99 per month  

Discovery’s new streaming service will cost $4.99 per month. An ad-free version will be available for $6.99 per month. But if you’re a Verizon customer, you may be able to watch for free. People with a Play More or Get More Unlimited plan will get Discovery+ free for 12 months. Those with Start or Do More Unlimited plans will get the service free for six months. 

New customers who sign up for Verizon 5G Home Internet or Fios Gigabit Connection will also get 12 free months of Discovery+. New Fios customers may be eligible to get 3 or 6 months of the service for free.

Aside from all-new shows featuring Chip and Joanna, Discovery+ subscribers will get access to more than 55,000 episodes of shows from Discovery networks. The service will also include 1,500 episodes of shows from A&E, Lifetime, and History, as well as natural history programming from the BBC. 

In addition, Discovery+ will feature a number of original shows you won’t be able to watch anywhere else. Several 90 Day Fiancé spinoffs are in the works, including 90 Day Bares All, 90 Day Diaries, 90 Day Journey, and The Other Way Strikes Back. Plus, Theresa Caputo will star in Long Island Medium: There In Spirit, where she delivers messages and readings from home due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, while Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis will team up in Bobby and Giada in Italy.  

Other original programming Discovery+ will include Luda Can’t Cook, a cooking show with Ludracis; Clipped, a landscape design competition show with Martha Stewart as a lead judge; true-crime series Queen of Meth; and Mysterious Planet, a nature documentary series narrated by David Schwimmer.
