Charmaine is still pregnant on ‘Virgin River’ Netflix

Fans have been stunned by the timeline of Charmaine’s pregnancy. She revealed her pregnancy to Jack at the end of season 1 and dealt with a horrible morning sickness condition in season 2. Though she’s still pregnant, she’s not even showing yet and people are confused by the show’s timeline as a result.

“Getting caught up on Virgin River season 3…. and Charmaine is STILL pregnant,” one person tweeted. Another added,  “This is a very random, local niche tweet but is there a worse character than Charmaine from Virgin River. Forever jarring. Also, how has she been pregnant for three seasons and we ain’t seen a bump?????”

Looking at the timeline of the series, it looks like only four months have passed in the world of the show since season 1 debuted, which means it would make sense that Charmaine would barely be in her second trimester.

Will Jack win custody of he and Charmaine’s twins on ‘Virgin River’?

Charmaine has had a challenging pregnancy thus far. However, things seemed to get better when she met Todd. Unfortunately, Todd has convinced her to try and cut Jack out of the babies’ lives once they are born. Despite the financial constraints, Jack has already secured a lawyer to fight Todd and Charmaine for his paternal rights. Now fans are convinced that he will win custody.

“They are in California, there’s no contesting custody if you can prove paternity (simple DNA done even before babies are born),” one Redditor says via Express. Why is this show talking about a year’s worth of court fights and thousands of dollars spent? The law in California is very clear, if you are the father you have 50% custody (unless it can be proven you are a jerk) and you’re OBLIGATED to provide support.”

It looks like Todd and Charmaine really don’t have the law on their side.

Is Jack the father of Charmaine’s twins?

With the law and a very expensive lawyer, things could go in Jack’s favor. However, there is a possibility that he isn’t the father of Charmaine’s twins at all. In Carr’s novels, Charmaine is a much smaller character and the father of her children ends up being an acquaintance of Jack’s. Though she has a much bigger role in the series, there is still a possibility that Jack is not the father of her kids.

There is a theory swirling that Charmaine went through IVF in an attempt to keep Jack when she saw his interest in Mel. Moreover, there are also theories that Brady (Ben Hollingsworth) or Mike (Marco Grazzini) could be the father of the babies. “I don’t think the babies are Jack’s,” one Redditor explained via Express. “Almost everything time there is a scene with Charmaine discussing her pregnancy, the immediate following scene is of Brady.”

Fans think Mike could be the father of the twins due to his shocked reaction when Jack revealed that Charmaine was pregnant.
