According to Bustle, ABC usually announces the next bachelor in early to mid-September. However, there are several factors that could cause a delay. Coronavirus (COVID-19) has been an issue in the past. It delayed Claire and Tayshia’s season of The Bachelorette. With the emergence of the delta variant, it’s hard to say if there are any more delays to come. It is also possible that the bachelor could be chosen from the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise or Michelle’s season of The Bachelorette. Bustle points out that the bachelor announcement might then be delayed to avoid spoilers.
Will the next bachelor come from a past season of ‘The Bachelorette’?

Michael A. left Katie’s season of The Bachelorette to be with his son. Many fans hope that Michael A. will return as the bachelor. Andrew Spencer, who was sent home in week 7 of The Bachelorette, is another top contender. In fact, since their breakup, Katie has even said that she wants Andrew S. to be the next bachelor.
