One Chicago Schedule: ‘Chicago Med’ Airs Tonight, Nov. 24, but ‘Chicago Fire’ and ‘Chicago P.D.’ Do Not

NBC's One Chicago fans can't wait for 'Chicago Med' Season 7 to return with new content. Is the show new tonight, Nov. 24, 2021? NBC will not air a new episode of 'Chicago Med,' but a rerun will air. 'Chicago Fire' and 'Chicago P.D.' will not air on Nov. 24 at all.

Fans of NBC’s One Chicago shows can’t wait to see what’s in store for the rest of Chicago Fire Season 10, Chicago P.D. Season 9, and Chicago Med Season 7. All three shows left fans with more questions than answers after episode 8. And now that the shows are on their holiday break, fans will have to wait for the seasons to resume. So, is Chicago Med on tonight, Nov. 24, 2021? It is — but it’s not a new episode. And Chicago P.D. and Chicago Fire will not air.

Fans of NBC’s One Chicago shows want to know when they can expect new content. According to the official One Chicago Twitter page, all three shows went on a break starting after episode 8 that aired on Nov. 10, 2021. The shows will not return with new content until Dec. 8, 2021.

“We’re just as bummed as you are,” the posted tweet reads along with the return dates for the shows.

After the Dec. 8, 2021, episodes of all three shows, it seems the shows will go on another hiatus until 2022. We imagine Dec. 8 will make a momentous night for Chicago P.D. Season 9, Chicago Med Season 7, and Chicago Fire Season 10, then, as the showrunners will likely want to wrap up the 2021 storylines.

So, does Chicago Med Season 7 air tonight, Nov. 24, 2021? The medical drama airs on NBC in its usual time slot of 8 p.m. EST, but it’s not a new episode. Instead, NBC will air Chicago Med Season 7 Episode 1, which first aired on Sept. 22, 2021.

Rewatching the first episode of the latest season might serve as the perfect time for fans to refresh their knowledge on everything that’s happened so far, though. The episode, titled “You Can’t Always Trust What You See,” shows Dr. Natalie Manning leaving and Dr. Will Halstead returning to Gaffney Chicago Medical Center. New doctors Dylan Scott and Stevie Hammer also join the crew, which is a surprise to Halstead, as he dated Hammer in the past.

What about Chicago Fire Season 10 and Chicago P.D. Season 9? Will NBC air old episodes of the other One Chicago shows? Unfortunately for Chicago P.D. and Chicago Fire fans, they’ll have to wait until Dec. 8, 2021, for the shows to return in any capacity. On Nov. 24, 2021, the 9 p.m. EST and 10 p.m. EST time slots are taken by a Thanksgiving Saturday Night Live special.

The following Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, NBC airs the 89th Annual Christmas in Rockefeller Center tree-lighting ceremony at 8 p.m. EST — Chicago Med‘s usual time slot. Then, at 10 p.m. EST, NBC airs Kelly Clarkson Presents: When Christmas Comes Around.

When Chicago Med Season 7 finally returns, who will we see in episode 9? One Chicago Center reminds us Dr. Ethan Choi returned this season, and we’re sure we’ll see him in the episode airing Dec. 8, 2021. Additionally, Will Halstead, Crockett Marcel, Maggie Lockwood, Stevie Hammer, Dylan Scott, Sharon Goodwin, Daniel Charles, Dean Archer, Pamela Blake, Avery Quinn, Vanessa Taylor, Terri Hammer, and Lieutenant Scott are likely to make appearances.

Fans may also see Jay Halstead, Will Halstead’s brother from Chicago P.D., make a guest appearance on Chicago Med Season 7. On Nov. 3, 2021, the Wolf Entertainment Twitter posted a gif of Jay with the caption, “Perhaps @jesseleesoffer will pop over to #ChicagoMed soon?” Viewers don’t expect a One Chicago crossover event in 2021, so bringing various characters from one show on to the other is a fun way to incorporate a mini-crossover.
