Only 1 of Jill Duggar’s Siblings Seemed to Wish Jill and Derick Dillard a Happy Anniversary
Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard appear to be on the outs with Jill’s famous family. We’ve watched the Duggars for years thanks to TLC featuring them on various shows such as 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On. While Jill and Derick were once on the small screen, they parted ways with the network. And Derick’s spoken out against Jim Bob Duggar and TLC a number of times.
We’re not sure exactly where Jill stands with her siblings at this point. And it seems only one of her sisters wished her and Derick a happy anniversary. Here’s what we noticed.
Jill Duggar just celebrated her anniversary with Derick Dillard
Jill and Derick have gotten plenty of flack for their relationship since it initially began. Before Derick met Jill, he contacted Jim Bob while he was doing humanitarian work in Nepal back in 2012. Jim Bob thought Derick sounded like an “amazing young man” judging from the work he was doing, and he thought he’d be the perfect match for Jill. Finally, Jill and Derick met once Jill traveled to Nepal to meet him with Jim Bob, and the rest is history.
The two have had plenty of bumps in the road when it comes to falling out of favor with fans, TLC, and possibly Jill’s parents. But they’ve always stuck by each other. On June 21, Jill posted a sweet photo of her and Derick to Instagram along with a caption celebrating their anniversary.
“Happy Anniversary my love @derickdillard,” Jill wrote. “These last 6 years have been quite the ride but I’m so grateful to have you always by my side.” She then went on to explain all the fun ways they spent their anniversary, which included eating out at one of their favorite places, getting some “delicious chocolate,” and sitting on the same bench they were at when Derick asked for Jill’s hand in marriage.
Derick claimed Jill has a tougher time connecting with her siblings now
Jill and Derick look ultra-happy in their anniversary photo. But we can’t forget all the turmoil that’s occurring with Jill and the rest of her family. According to Derick, Jill’s on the outs with Jim Bob, as she needs his permission to visit her big family home. Not only that, but Derick also mentioned that because Jill doesn’t have the same visiting liberties as her siblings, it’s putting a strain on her relationships with them.
“Because our visitation to the Duggar house has been restricted and that is where they and their spouses hang out, we have not been able to see other family as much as we would like, so that is difficult,” Derick told The Sun. “We do try to invite brothers and sisters-in-law over as much as they can come.”

We’re not sure what Jill’s siblings think of Derick spilling the family tea to social media and publications. But we did notice that only one of Jill’s siblings commented on Jill’s anniversary post. Jana Duggar simply commented, “Happy Anniversary!”
To that, Jill commented back, “thanks sis!”
While Jana is the only sister to comment, we can’t ignore the fact that the Duggar Family Instagram, which appears to be run by Jim Bob and Michelle, posted a shoutout to Jill and Derick’s anniversary via their Instagram Story. Some Duggar family critics suspect Jana is actually the one who controls the family’s Instagram, though. If this is the case, then it would make sense that she posted a photo for the couple’s happy day.
Does Jill currently have issues with the rest of her siblings? We have no idea, though we know she connected with Jessa, Joy-Anna, and Jinger back in February for a sister hangout. It looks like the Duggar women are just choosing to remain quiet about the anniversary but are otherwise just fine with Jill.
