Paris Hilton’s Trust Issues Aren’t All Because of Failed Romances

Fights and heartbreaks are bound to happen among celebrities. Sometimes, friendships ended because of arguments and slights. It is not uncommon for famous people to have a messy breakup. In some cases, they manage to get back on good terms. 

Paris Hilton became known as a wealthy hotel heiress and is currently an EDM DJ. When fans think of Hilton having trust issues, they may believe the problems stem from failed romances.

While it is partially true, her betrayals also come from other celebrities that she was friends with for years. 

Paris Hilton had several failed romances

Throughout her life, Hilton has had a string of relationships that ended with heartbreak. The socialite used to date Rick Salomon in 2001. In 2004, Salomon released the infamous sex tape featuring both of them. She never consented to the distribution, and the scandal made it difficult for her to trust people. 

According to Closer, the celebrity has had three engagements that got broken off. Two of them were with model Jason Shaw and Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis. Her most recent broken engagement was with actor Chris Zylka in 2018. 

The couple was together for two years, and Zylka proposed to Hilton after a few months of dating. The engagement ring is worth almost $2 million, and the heiress was thrilled to marry someone she loved. However, the couple had split in November 2018. 

Some people speculated that the breakup was a result of busy work schedules. After all, they did have to push back the wedding date for that reason. Others wonder if she had realized that he was not right for her. 

Paris Hilton’s rough patches with friends

Hilton’s romantic life is not the only thing that gave her trust issues. The socialite also has had a fallout with some of her closest friends. One of them was childhood friend Nicole Richie, and the two of them had a special bond in the early 2000s. 

The dynamic duo soon became one of the most famous pair of friends in Hollywood. Most people were likely expecting their friendship to last for quite a while. In 2005, Hilton and Richie suddenly became enemies, to the surprise of many people. Rumors started to spread, but it is unknown what their fight was about. 

Another longtime friend is none other than Kim Kardashian. Like Nicole, Hilton had a tight bond with Kardashian. However, all that changed when the two started throwing insults at each other in 2008. Hilton made fun of the media personality’s butt, and Kardashian later criticized the former’s music. 

Over time, Hilton reconciled with both Richie and Kardashian. She often compliments the other two and realizes how important these friendships are to her. 

Paris Hilton had a feud with Lindsay Lohan

There are other celebrities Hilton has been close with, but she had a fallout with a couple of them. For example, the socialite used to be on good terms with actress Lindsay Lohan for a few years. It was not until 2006 that animosity separated the two. 

Things took a turn for the worse when Hilton had partied with famous singer Britney Spears. Lohan did not get invited, so she crashed the party and got into an argument in front of partygoers. The actress later squeezed into a car the other two were in. Their friendship became rocky after that night. 

When Lohan started dating Hilton’s ex-boyfriend, it drove a wedge further into their relationship. The two of them publicly threw shade at each other, and Lohan once had criticized Hilton’s sex tape. To this day, the celebrities are no longer friends. Hilton stated that the actress was not someone she could trust.
