Pascal is gearing up to film the highly-anticipated third season of The Mandalorian but he still makes time for his friends, including fellow actor, Isaac. The two first met in 2005, when they were acting on the stage show Beauty of the Father. Even though the play ran for a short time, it allowed Pascal and Isaac to form a tight bond, one that endures to this day.

Pascal recently opened up about his friendship with Isaac to Esquire, revealing that their upbringing helped to unify them. As reported by Insider, Pascal said, “We have very similar backgrounds. We’re both children of Latin immigrants, so there’s sort of a cultural familiarity, then at the same time we’re both actors.”

Pascal went on to describe: “We have the same dreams. It’s something very special because it can be a lonely journey when you’re out there going after — it sounds corny, but going after your dreamsand to find family along the way.” Pascal claimed that their bond is very special to him, noting that Isaac is “the younger brother I never wanted.”

Pedro Pascal and Oscar Isaac are both stars of the ‘Star Wars’ franchise

When they first met so many years ago, it is likely that Pascal and Isaac never could have imagined that one day they would both be stars of one of the biggest entertainment franchises of all time. Isaac joined Star Wars in 2015, when he played Poe Dameron in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He went on to reprise the role of Poe in two additional films, including the blockbuster conclusion to the saga, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Pascal originated the role of Din Djarin in The Mandalorian in 2019, to immediate fan acclaim. Although he spends most of his time in the Disney+ series behind a mask, Pascal’s body language and expressive voice helped to make the bounty hunter a sympathetic character, and many have given him credit for revitalizing the Star Wars franchise.
