No other cinnamon roll recipe compares as far as the Food Network star is concerned. When asked “Do you have a recipe that you’d consider the best?” by Design and Living Magazine in May 2017, Drummond didn’t hesitate. She named her recipe for the sticky, gooey baked good.

“I can say that my cinnamon rolls are the best in the world,” she said. The Pioneer Woman continued, saying they’re that good because of her mother. “I thank my mom for that. It’s actually her recipe, so I can’t take all of the credit.”

Through the years Drummond’s developed a number of cinnamon roll recipes, most of which have been featured on both her Pioneer Woman blog and her cooking show.

Today she has a classic cinnamon roll recipe, of course, as well as other variations including chocolate, pumpkin, and blueberry-lemon. While cinnamon rolls aren’t one of Drummond’s most popular Pioneer Woman recipes on Food Network, they’re certainly a hit with fans.

The Pioneer Woman’s secret to perfectly shaped cinnamon rolls is chilling the dough overnight

How does Drummond achieve what she considers cinnamon roll perfection? She has an easy not-so-secret secret to perfect cinnamon rolls. It comes down to time.

The Pioneer Woman recommends chilling the dough overnight. That way the cinnamon rolls will have had enough time to set up in the fridge so when they go in the oven they’ll keep their shape.

It’s that easy. Simply put the cinnamon rolls in the fridge before baking and get perfectly shaped cinnamon rolls the next day.

While some of the 200-plus reviewers noted difficulties with the dough rising, most loved how the cinnamon rolls turned out. “These are the best, easiest, no fail recipe I’ve ever used for rolls,” one person wrote before adding, “They turn out very soft and lofty.”

Another person said they’d usually buy cinnamon rolls because they were “so intimidated but this recipe is the best!” Another made the bold statement of calling them their “absolute favorite recipe for cinnamon rolls!!”

One reviewer went so far as to describe Drummond’s cinnamon rolls as “heaven on earth. Another called them “just what you would want a cinnamon roll to taste like.”
