Prince Harry and Prince William’s Relationship May Be at a Turning Point
Prince Harry and Prince William used to be extremely close, especially following the death of the mother, Princess Diana. However, as they’ve grown older, they have been placed on different paths. Prince William is studying to become king while Prince Harry often felt overlooked and dismissed.
The Duke of Sussex’s marriage to Meghan, Duchess of Sussex gave him the opportunity to envision his life in a new way and he jumped at it, ruffling feathers and causing some major tension with his older brother as a result.
But now that Megxit is finally complete, there may be hope for William and Harry.
Are Prince Harry and Prince William talking?
Though they still aren’t as close as they once were, things have gotten much better between Prince Harry and Prince William.
“The relationship is much better than it was. For a start, they are on talking terms, and not only on talking terms, they do speak relatively regularly. They were very much in touch over the holidays,” royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight. “But there is an ocean between them, there is a time difference and as Harry [has] said… they are two brothers on different paths.”
However, after Prince Philip’s recent hospitalization, the Sussexes response to being stripped of their patronages, and an upcoming tell-all interview could change that.

Now that the Sussexes are completely done with royal life, and they have been stripped of their royal patronages, they are set to tell their side of the story to Oprah Winfrey.
On March 7, the couple will sit down with the media mogul for Oprah with Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special. It’s already causing tension with the royals who are terrified about what the couple might say. It also may be adding further strain between Prince Harry and Prince William.
“It’s just beyond the pale for William and Kate, especially in light of the dreadful timing with [Prince] Philip in the hospital,” an insider told ET. “They are utterly aghast.”
However, some royal insiders think that this might be a good thing for Prince Harry and Prince William’s relationship.

After finalizing their plans to leave royal life behind for good, Queen Elizabeth stripped the Sussexes of their remaining royal patronages. Buckingham Palace issued a statement saying, “it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service.”
In response, the couple issued a statement saying, “We can all live a life of service. Service is universal.” The response was said to have ruffled a few feathers in the royal family, especially with Prince William.
However, royal experts also feel that this may be a turning point in the brother’s relationship. “There is a very strong family bond,” an insider told People. “There is hope among those close to Harry and his brother Prince William that things will ease now that they aren’t focusing on the disagreements over how to be a royal.”
